Dear Dot and Dana,

I got a letter today and the card that Dana sent quite awhile ago with the policeman in it. It was kind of cute Dana.

I am glad that you went to Thurston for a couple days. It must be awful tiresome hanging around the house all the time and not much chance to go anyplace. I guess by the way you write that I wasn’t such a bad guy to live with after all. Was I?

I do hope that we don’t have to live this way much longer.

The letter was all right for me to send Mrs. L. but I haven’t got around to write her yet.

There isn’t much for me to do to pass away the evenings so I am still studying my Coxswain book. As things are now I don’t know if I will get my rate or not. I will sure be disappointed if I don’t. And I know you certainly could use the extra money to live on.

Well dear I’ll have to close now as I have to take a shower and get to bed before the lights go out.

                                    Love and kisses,

                                                Beecher
