Tues 630 A.M.

Dear Dot and Dana,

By the looks outside this morning it is going to be another hot day. I have been to chow and done some washing already this morning. That is one thing about the Navy I don’t like washing clothes. Down at Camp #3 we got up at six o’clock, but up here we get up at 5:30 in the morning. We have to muster in at 8:00 o’clock.

I knew that Dick S. was in Virginia, because he rode down on the train as far as there with me.

I have made quite a few friends, but I liked boys in Sampson better. You meet all kinds of fellows here.

There is a possibility of me getting home after my training here, which will be about six more weeks. They won’t promise us anything.

Dot, do you know what Emma M.’s address is? If she is near here I might go see here. Wouldn’t she be surprised? A week from Saturday I have a 48 hr. leave, I would like to go see a little bit of Fla.

I don’t know what causes it but everybody here has got the runs. I have been running for a week. It isn’t much either where there is about 15 standing in line ahead of you. Ha. Well, dear don’t worry about me being a bad boy. I won’t.

                                    Lots of love and xxxxxx
