Hia Nick,

I received your letter and was glad to hear everything is fine.  By the looks of your letter, you must be working behind the desk.  And with beer gardens and theatres and beaches around you.  Why kid? That’s just like paradise, but how’s the women?  I was to a dance at the old U.S.O. and new one.  I didn’t have much fun at either of them.  Too many soldiers.  You know we had a big bunch of new men, come in here since you left.    Some that came here right from the indiction station.  There isn’t much news that I could write you about.  Some of the Corps got rattings in the bound.  Five corp.  I mean Tesh corp, and two Teshnishion Sargent. About there P.H.C… I and few others didn’t get one yet.  There is still two first rattings to be given in the dream section.  I don’t know if I’ll get any or not.  I expect to see some changes one of these days.  Some of us may be transferred either to Bugle and Drum Corp, or to a gun Btry.  I don’t give a hoot what they do.  I am ready for whatever comes.  I think I’d been better off if I had stayed in my search light Btry.  I had a letter from my pal that was in the same search light division I was in and says he has it good there now.  He’s in the army air corp band.  They go swimming every afternoon.  He’s down in Orlando Air Base Fla. Sometimes, the way things go around here.  I wish I was there with him.  I had a letter from Shorty, Drabish.  Well, Nick, I haven’t anything else to write.  I have a few more letters to answer, so I’ll try and pick up more news next.

Till I hear from you again.

So-long and Good Luck!
