Wednesday evening [March 11, 1942]

A letter me today and how grand. No wonder, honey, look who it is from. From the one love and love with all my thoughts. Do you know who he is, honey?

Honey, I very busy this evening. I was all alone and my cash register rang 128.40.

Honey, I’ll wait for the pin. For I know you will get me one to remember the camp. Darling, you had a beautiful dream of us together and we will go walking. Everything will go fine when we are together. Oh, honey, to feel close to you and your lips close to mine. Honey, I am going to go to work early tomorrow and take off early tomorrow. I must come home and do my laundry and then a letter to you.

Before I retire tonite, honey, I am going to take a bath. Put on my blue pajamas and will I feel good and clean. I’d feel better if you were here with me.

Honey, Charles and Ann are in the reception room. Ann is sick, dear.
