Dear Nick,

Just a few lines to let you know we are all well. I was nearly shocked to death when you wrote to me I thought you were mad or something. I was looking for you to come down one evening but you didn’t show up. I would of talked to you if you would of come down. My boyfriends would [have] found it out. I don’t think any how.

How do you like the few people you met. Who told you that Nick? I won’t say anything about it if you tell me I would like to know who told you. I know all the girls you were with in Garrett? Well Nick you were home for at least one week well my boyfriend only came Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday those three nights and sometimes he comes every night. I think the week you were home he was down Tuesday and Wednesday, Friday and Saturday and Sunday night.

We had terrible weather for the last few weeks at least. Your telling me Nick Dick musta feel in love and love is grand. If you would of stopped and found out weather I was home or not. [Now] Nick there isn’t any reason at all but I forgotten all about your letter and I [couldn’t] find it for a while but the day I got your other letter I found it. Was I shocked when I found it and how. Nick I tell you that only me and my sister she reads them unless Miriam let someone else read them when I wasn’t around and another thing you didn’t have anything in any of those letters to be ashamed of are you. Well I’m not. Always look fit to kill.

He treats me alright I had been going with him for all year and four months well do you remember the other time you were back me and him were on the outs but he made up with me one night up at Tipp Inn bay that was the unlucky night for me. Yes I might but you can never tell what you are going to do the next day. No one knows?

Buy that a long ways off isn’t it well I see till July Nick I hope? Waiting to be sorry is there not that I know. Ray Brant broke his back didn’t he, he got married to Mary Shoemaker from Meyersdale. Miriam was with Nick Drab on Friday a week ago. She has a date with him on Saturday night coming, but don’t concern me any like it you gusto.

Helen Dick’s girl having a party the 10^th of February. Miriam and Nick are asked but my nose is to short they knew I wouldn’t of come without asking me. Miriam was with Pee Wee one night to the movies. I wasn’t with another fellow since September sometime. I am doing good haint I? I hope. Do you know Fern Custer she getting married to some of my old relations. Well we will all break our necks some day I hope. I saw Dick January 30 he brang Helen home about 42:00 o’clock.

Well Nick news is scarce in Garrett right now. Please forgive my writing so fancy and near. Take all mistaken words as kisses will you please. Sending the very most of love to you from Pennsylvania. Hoping to hear from you soon.
