Monday

Darling Mine,

I have held off expected an answer as to my status but as yet I have had none and you can bet that I am really sitting on the hot seat waiting. I wish that I could give you some writing you yesterday due to the fact that momentarily I have news but I do not think that I will have any until later today.  I have just had a talk and they promised me an answer today but I do not know for sure. It looks favorable but not as fast as I thought it might be as the question of replacement has come up much to my regret. I will of course

let you know at once that I know.

The week end was uneventful and the movies were my only activity. It was to wet for golf and I was too tense to try to play. I have had no mail from you in a full week now and I can not understand what is holding it up for I know that you have written. I really miss those letters when they fail to arrive. Especially when I am in a lather like this and your letters give me a great deal of comfort. I love my darling you see. Gee how much!

I know that you hate these short letters but there is just nothing to write about except what is filling my mind that is contained in the first paragraph. I send you all my love and devotion darling lady ad will write again as soon as your letters arrive-very likely this noon
