                  Monday

Darling,

I have your little note this morning and the news it contained was indeed disappointing. Jelly must have run into real hard luck and to say that I am sorry is to underestimate, to say the least. When Sing is recovered to some extent extend to her my sympathies. I suppose that she will be going home for a little while.

Incidentally that little note was only the second I have had from you since I returned. There has certainly been a dearth of mail around this area.

Yesterday being Sunday and things having slowed down a little I played golf in the afternoon. Can’t say my game was very good but I enjoyed it very much and the day was lovely for it. The rain began just five minutes after we completed our game which was nice for a change. Last night the show and a darn good sleep. That is the part I like about the exercise you really sleep thereafter.

I expect to take off on a trip into the Pacific either tomorrow or the next day and will be gone about three days possibly four dear. As you know that means there will be a lapse in the mail due to the infrequent delivery schedule from there. It reminds me so much of Texas out there that I am sure that I will be homesick.

Well little lady mine this is mainly a note to let you know that I love you to the depths of my heart and continue to miss you more than is good for me. I have to be off to a meeting in a little bity minute (its only seven thirty AM now) so until a little bity later Adios my lovely wife.
