Dearest Sweetheart,

Was glad to talk to you. I was studying this P.M. when all of a sudden I just thought – well – go call and then you can study. Boy – it worked perfect. I figured you would be home, so I hit it on the nose.

Well – dear – I did not get any mail this eve because they do not hand it out so – tomorrow I get it. So – you sent a package – Boy that will be fine. I wonder what is in it. I have everything clean for next week. Must get my notebook up to date and I am ready to go.

Next week will be a tough one – and the 4^th week. I hope I can get a few breaks. This business certainly isn’t a joke. Boy – I have plenty to learn this next week and I must double my efforts. There is so much. I have enough money for your Xmas present. What do you want. It won’t be a fantastic one. I guess things are plenty high – the way the fellow talk but what do you need? Don’t hold back – then feel bad because you did not ask. Let me know – who knows – but what something might break.

It is time to get to work. So you have a portion. Gee! I am anxious as to what it is. I know you couldn’t say to-day so – that will be something. And you can stay at home. Well – dear – I have prayed for a break for you for so long – that I am happy. I hope you get a fair wage.

Now I must bend myself to get an advancement too. What does my horoscope read for Dec.? I hope a little brighter – and a break – Must sign off –
