Boy. I am glad to get your lovely letter. There is so much in them all – that boy – I just can’t wait to get it. Mother’s letter too was excellent and I was surprised to see two in one.

Well-honey- by the time you get this letter – I suspect that the surprise is over and you have already written me scolding me for sending the money. There were two big reasons here for getting rid of it. 1^st – I had no good place to put it here, and second – we are under quarantine for these three cases of scarlet fever – now – don’t worry or say anything about it outside because it is just a precaution. We cannot get to the Post Office so I did the next best thing. If all letters get to you – this one will – then too – no one saw me put the money in I am sure you got it. Just tell me about it. You could not read the letters unless you found the money. NOW – you can use the money for whatever you need it for. I told you I would get mine so – as soon as I got it – I send it to you! You were short – and really so - and that will help.

It must have been fine to get back with our old friends at the church. Gosh - I feel as though I was there. So the pictures are still there. Boy – I was wondering whether they would stay in place or whether somehow they would be removed. I hope they stay and if not – I hope they give them to me. I think of those boys a lot and wonder where they are.

I remember about some letter from R. Wetzel I wonder if they got things straightened out. I will gladly recommend him but am in no place to write a formal recommendation. E.C. feels bad – well – 1^st place – what I shot for – I missed and there was nothing to do but shut up. 2^nd place – I went to Boot Camp – and I felt as though that should be done quietly – 3^rd place. I am on the spot in this school and must make good – so I am not saying a word until I get out of here and pray to God that it will be top rating or nothing. However - there is a hell of a lot of work to be done.

Yes – by all means go with Eva – goodnight – honey. I am pleased and happy because I keep thinking maybe you are sitting alone at home in the evening and I know you are not that inactive. Yes – Connor’s will stay his distance and so will I. I will acknowledge when we cross paths. Send the Send the First aid book – so I get it Monday. It takes one day so far. O.k. honey – sweetie pie – I love you –
