Friday Evening

Dearest Tom, xxxxxxx

How is my love? I sure hope just fine. I am feeling just fine.

I came home this morning at 7:00, and went to bed until 12:30, and then I got up and took my bath and by that time Helen called and said that dinner was ready so we went down and ate. We then finished getting ready to come down home, and then I washed the dishes while Pauline and Helen finished getting ready. We then walked over to the bus station at 2:30 and then we had a few minutes wait until it came and a few minutes after it got there. It was then 3:00 when we got started, and we had to stand up until we got to Oil City then we got a seat there. It was 4:30 when we got there. Grandma was busy making biscuits and Grandpa had just gotten home and of course he had to tease some. Lois was also here so she could be at the school at 6:30.

We had supper and by the time we got the dishes finished it was 7:00 and we got ready and went to the school-house. Lois is a senior this year and she was in the class play. The name of it was The Mad March Heirs’. It was very good and everyone did their part real well. Then after the play Pauline went down home with Mother and Dad and Chuck and Helen and I walked Grandma down to the bridge hall because they were having a meeting last night but she wanted to see the play but she wanted to go down afterwards so we walked her down and then Helen C. and I went down to the coffee shop and had some ice cream. She thought Lois was coming down and we waited and she didn’t come so we left, and there she was running down the streets and so she went with her class and they were going to dance a while at the Hotel so we came on home and Lois stayed. When we got home Grandma  and Grandpa were already here because the meeting was nearly over when she got there. So we sat and talked for awhile and ate an apple. We then went upstairs and everybody was going to bed and I didn’t get much sleep yesterday so I went to bed and I had started my letter to you before supper last night but there was so much noise around I couldn’t get it finished so I am finishing it this morning and I will mail it this afternoon when I go down with Helen to the bus because she wants to go back tonight so she is going back up on the bus this after-noon at 3:15.

Darling, I hope you won’t mind me not finishing your letter last night. I am still going to write you another one tonight so I hope you will forgive me.

Darling, I do love you so much and I sure do wish that we could be together now. I miss you so much. I sure do have a lot of kisses saved up for you.

I sure do wish you were here so we could be sitting in the front room in our favorite chair and the stool by the register. Oh, how I would like some of that wonderful loving I used to get.  Here are some hugs and kisses XXXXXXXX. I hope you caught them.

I didn’t get a letter yesterday before we left so I hope there was some came today.

I am going to close now with a big hug and kiss. So long until tonight.

                        Your loving wife.
