Sun. afternoon

My Darling Jimmy, x x x

Well here it is Sunday afternoon and it has been snowing all day, there still hasn’t been any snow on the ground because it melts as it comes down. But it is still very cold out.

Your Mother came up this morning to see if I was awake but she said she didn’t want to go to Sunday school and that I should stay in bed so I did and I fell back so sleep again and then she came up again and she said it was 1:00 and tat dinner was ready so I got dressed and came down-stairs and by that time Paul and Myra was here so we ate dinner and then we sat at the table and talked for a long time. Then your mother got to talking about fixing lamp connections and Myra said that she could fix them so she did. We then washed the dishes and have been listening to the radio and talking all afternoon and now it is 5:00 and Paul and your mother are out doing the work up. I don’t know when we ar3 going back up but I think in time so we can take your mother in to church.

I go to work tonight at 11 again.

Darling I do miss you and I wish that we could be together. “I Love You” with all my heart and soul and I always will, Honey forever and ever. You are my one and only. So please always remember that whenever you don’t hear from me because I am thinking of you all the time and hoping and praying that you were with me still. I will be ever so glad if you do get sent home in the spring.

My two checks for new, are here now and I signed them so your Mother can put them in the bank.

She said that John Alt and Gladis Passuer was married here in Shippenville last week and that it was in the paper on Thurs. but I didn’t get to see it and we couldn’t find the Thurs. paper so I didn’t get to read about it.

The record “It had to be You” is on the radio now and that is the way I feel about you, It just had to be you. Darling, I will always be true, you sure don’t need to worry about me not being so because I love you and I still say more than what you do. What do you say?

Hello again Honey, How are you my love? I am just fine and I hope that you are the same.

We ate our supper and then your mother got ready and we went in to Shippenville and she went to Metzer’s and then she was going on to church. I talked to Xalter on the telephone a few minutes before we left and he said he is going to try and fix his garage up with gas and then if he could he would move your car up there because down at the other place they was going to raise the rent from $3 to $5 a month. And he thought that was quite high for it. But I don’t know now for sure if he can fix his garage up but he is going to let me know.

He then went over thru Knox and Paul took me up to Grandma’s for a few minutes and then I got my green winter coat.

Then we still got up here before 8:00 and it was snowing all the time so I suppose tomorrow morning the ground might be covered.

Helen was sleeping when we got up here and her mother reading and Pauline was upstairs in bed sleeping but she got up as soon as I got here.

Darling, “I Love You” so much and I always will.

I am going to close now and get ready for work so so long Honey, until Tomorrow.

I Love You” and “God Bless You”.

You Loving Wife,

“Ruth Alice”.
