Tues. morning.

My darling Fran:

How is my sweetheart this lovely morning.  Sunday night we spent a very quiet evening at home.  I really caught up on my letter writing.  I answered Harry’s letter, George’s, and I wrote to Aunt Julia.  We didn’t do much yesterday outside of get a haircut.  Last evening Vin and myself went down to talk to the boys (hole in letter) (Rail Transportation Office) and we ended up getting a belly full of brandy.  There’s two British boys in charge and they were glad to see us since they have so few visitors.  When we left one of the boys was talking to himself and the other had his head out the window with his finger down his throat.  We came home and had our usual midnight snack then took off to bed.  This morning the Governor is coming, for what reason I don’t know, maybe he wants to throw us another party.  We are invited to Maya on Sunday for lobster by Mr. Amans (you have a picture of him).  I was showing him your pictures and he thinks your very pretty (I agree) but he asked me if Lounette was my mother, boy I’ll bet she’d appreciate that crack.  Vin and Henry are going to Takamatsu for out beer, P.X. supplies and mail this morning so I should have mail from my honey this evening which of course won’t make me a bit mad.  They pay master is also coming in at 11 o’clock this morning so we’ll all have money once again.  Poor Vin hasn’t seen any pay since April, any wonder he’s been borrowing.  I’m sending you set of pictures I just completed.  Most of them are ok- but there’s two, one that Henry took and one that Vin took they jerked the camera.  Some of these pictures were taken the day all the British boys left for home.  Boy was I envious that day.  I felt like bawling but that wouldn’t have been at all proper.  Honey it really hurts when you are standing at some station and watch a couple hundred happy boys boarding the train for home.  I really love you dear and I want to get home (hole in letter) you.  I realize I have to wait but I can wish can’t I dear.  Darling there isn’t anyone else in my life and there never will be anybody but Fran so darling be a good girl and keep all yourself for Eddie.  Give my regards to your mother and dad, Geo. and Blanch, and all our friends.  Jack Cooper is coming back from “leave” today.  He helps liven the place up around here.

                                                With all my love,

                                                Your honey always.
