My darling Fran:

Writing this morning as last night Stile and Reese came over and it was quite late before I got to bed.  We all went out to M.G. right after supper to get our second shot for sleeping sickness.  We have one more shot to get in a month and I suppose by that time they will discover some other serum that they can inject us with.  Vince has to act as mail courier again today as our bi monthly report goes in to headquarters (so maybe he’ll bring some mail back with him, I hope.  It still manages to rain just about every day here, at the present its clear but it looks as though we’ll have some rain before the day is over.  Didn’t do anything all day yesterday as we were getting this report together so I haven’t much news I can tell you.  I can tell you though that I love you more than anything in the world and always will, I guess this isn’t exactly news to you as you hear it so much but its good to keep it fresh in your mind.  I’m still hoping I can be home by Feb. or even before if they want to send me.  Well darling I’m sorry this is so short but with such little news there isn’t much I can do about it.  Give my regards to your mother & dad, Geo. & Blauch, and all our friends.

                                                                                    With all my love,

                                                                                    Your honey always.

P.S.

            Don’t forget the picture.
