My darling Fran:-

Another day passed by and I’m still in Japan which isn’t good. I’m still waiting for that day I can board the boat and head in your direction. I’m still racking my brain wondering how I’m going to get home and soon. It has been a very lonely day here all day. We were out back playing catch this morning and after dinner we went over to the Tokyo stadium to have a game between two Universities so we stayed and watched the game. They aren’t such hot ball players but they enjoy playing therefore they put all they have in it. I took down some “crib” notes for tomorrow’s exam so I hope I pass. I still have a report to write which will take me about four hours so I’m going to cut this letter rather short and get busy on it. I got in a “crap” game today and won 500 yen but I suppose I’ll lose it back within the next week or so but then when you stop and think it isn’t worth anything. I still haven’t been paid and don’t have the slightest idea when I will but regardless, when I do get paid I’ll immediately send it home to you. As far as our ratings go I don’t know when we receive those either, maybe when we finish school and get assigned. Well dear I’m going to cut this short but I’ll be back with you again tomorrow. Remember honey I still love you and always will so be a good girl and write everyday. Give my regards to your mother & dad, Geo & Blanch, and all our friends.
