My dear Fran: -

Received your two letters yesterday written on the 24th and 25th. That letter from Wm H. was nothing to become alarmed about. He is a very good friend that was in our group at Holabird, he had over 21 months service so he was sent back to the Air Force. He promised he would write me so I gave him mothers address because we figured I wouldn't be at Holabird. I used to come up on the train with him as far as Phila. and he went on to N.Y. City. I intend writing to him as soon as I finish this letter to you. Well honey its the same old story still sitting here waiting with no idea as to when we might be leaving. Its very nice here but it becomes expensive as [edited for content] after awhile. Last night it was the same old story Stan, Bob, and myself went down the highway a couple of miles and drank beer all evening then Cookie and his wife came in and they brought us back to camp so we were in quite early. There's a lot of U.S.O. Camp shows waiting around here for shipping and it looks like they are going to take them first. Yesterday afternoon we played soft ball. I sprained my finger and its puffed up like a balloon. I think I'll get some epsom salts and soak it. Well honey these letters I'm writing you are all alike I hope its not getting to monotonous, if they are let me know. Before I close I must remind you that I still love you and always will. I know I don't have to worry about you but I like to tell you to be good anyway. Some day, soon I hope, we'll be back together and nothing will pry us apart then. Give my regards to your folks and our friends. Did Joe S. get discharged yet?

With all my love,

Your honey.
