My
Dearest Darling Wife,
Hello sweet little angel, how is my
darling little wife. Awful, awful sweet I know and fine I hope. You had better
be dearest. Gee darling I received the sweetest letter from you today and I was
so darn thrilled to get it darling. It was July the twenty fourth dear so that
was pretty good time. Gee darling your precious letters mean the world and all
to me and they are so darn sweet. They make me so awful, awful happy dear and
make me feel so wonderful all over. Gee darling it just makes a different
person out of me in every way when I can get your precious letters. Honey dear
I sure hope you are getting my mail all right now. Won’t it be wonderful when
we are in each others arms dearest and won’t have to write letters anymore. You are so darn sweet dearest and I love you so
awful darn much.
I am feeling fine now dearest and
getting along all right in every way now. I have plenty of everything now
dearest. Well Honey it is a pretty nice day here, has been raining off and on
so it isn’t so awful hot. Sure hope you are having some nice weather now
dearest. Well Honey I am still on the nite shift
about two more nites after tonite
I guess.
Well dolly today is the Fourth of
July and gee what wonderful memories come to me as I think of the ones that we
have spent together. This is our third one away from each other dear and gee
how I am hoping it will be the last one. Surely we will be able to be together
long before this time next year dear. I sure hope it is nice at home today
Honey and sure hope you can enjoy yourself in some way. We would be having so
darn much fun if I was home with you dear and gee everything would be so
heavenly. The last fourth we spent together dear we were pretty sad cause we know our time together was growing short but we had
such a wonderful time anyway. Remember darling we had dinner up home and we
took some pictures and then we drove around out by Bonner that evening and came
back and had supper and then Mac and you and me went down
and bought a lot of fireworks and then after we finished the fireworks off we
went to our usual place and gee darling how heavenly. Then the year before that
dear I had just got the new car the day before the fourth and we went out to
Honey dear if I should happen to be
able to get a furlough do you want me to take it. I am not sure if I can get
one dear but I am asking you just in case I am at sometime in the near future
able to get one. I am leaving it all up to you now darling. Six months ago I
was strictly against the furlough cause I was hoping rotation would get me back
dear and with a chance of staying in the states for good but now, well darling
I guess I am just desperate, I want to get home so damn bad I don’t know what
to do, but dear it will just about get me to have to leave you and come back
over here for another year or two maybe. It doesn’t seem like they are going to
put out anything new on the point system to let a guy know exactly how he
stands on that. If they would come out with some set number of points and let a
guy know how often they were going to make a new survey it would kind of let
you know how you stand but a person doesn’t know anything for sure now. Gosh
darling I am so darn tired of all this I don’t know what to do I hear there is
some talk about going to start rotation again but I think it is just a rumor. I
am not for sure that I can get a furlough if I should decide to take one but I am
just asking you what you think just in case dearest. Boy Honey I sure would
like to see them get started on this side now and get this darn thing over with
and I could get out of this darn thing and forget about it all.
Honey I sure hope this finds you
feeling swell and everything going along all right in every way at home now.
Darling I sure hope you are over that awful cough by now. You said in your
letter yesterday that the weather was getting real nice so maybe you won’t have
no more trouble now. I sure hope you didn’t go back to work to quick Honey.
Please take it easy now darling and don’t work to hard now and take wonderful
care of my sweet little wife.
Honey you are so darn sweet and I
love you so awful, awful darn much and you know I always will dear. You are so
awful, awful sweet and precious darling. Honey we are so happily married and
love each other more every day. Gee darling you are such a perfect little wife
in every way and I am so darn proud of you dear. You are so awful pretty from the
tips of my beautiful blond hair to the tops of my sweet little toes dear and
gee but I love you dolly. Honey I know God hears our
prayers and will keep us safe and bring us together as soon as possible now.
Please take wonderful care of my precious parts dearest, gee but they are
wonderful and I love them so darn much. Yours are fine dearest,
miss you so awful, awful darn much. Honey you are the sweetest and most
adorable little wife in this world and I love you so awful darn much and you
know I always will dolly.
Well sug I
guess I had better close for this time and I’ll write you as soon as possible
now dearest. I’ll be looking for your precious letters now dearest. Please be
awful, awful careful now dearest and take wonderful care of my sweet little wife.
