My Dearest Darling Wife,
Hello sweet little angel, how is my darling little wife. Awful awful sweet I know and fine I hope. You had better be dearest. Well Honey no mail so far today but I am sure hoping some will come in before the day is over. Gee but those four yesterday were so darn sweet and precious dearest, just like all your wonderful letters. Your precious letters mean the world and all to me dearest and they are so darn sweet. They make me so awful, awful happy dearest and make me feel so wonderful all over. It gives me such a grand feeling when I can get your precious letters dearest. Honey I sure hope you are getting my mail all right now. You are so darn sweet dearest and I love you so awful, awful darn much.
I am feeling fine now dearest and am getting along all right in every way now. I have plenty of everything now dearest. Well Honey it is a real nice day here but gee it is hot. There is a breeze blowing and that helps some. Boy it sure does get hot here some days and if it wasn’t for a little breeze it would really be awful. Sure hope you are having some nice weather at home now dearest.
You was telling me that you went out and looked over the back of your place the other day honey. You will sure get a lot of good out of all that fruit and berries dear. You said you had some nice strawberries to and it won’t be long until they will be getting ripe. Gee but I like those and I sure hope I am in your arms and enjoying your wonderful cooking by next strawberry season dear cause we will sure have a lot of shortcakes. Boy Honey I am going to sure enjoy good food and good cooking when I get out of here. You are such a swell little cook dearest and I am so awful proud of you.
Honey I am sure glad you got your typewriter cleaned and fixed up ‘cause now it will really work nice and you won’t have to get it cleaned for a long time now dearest. I’ll bet you was surprised when it cost you that much dear but it will be well worth it ‘cause it will really work swell now.
Gee darling I’ll bet you sure were glad to get those four pair of hose out there at the little notions store. They sure must be hard to get dear and I don’t suppose the quality is very good in the ones you do get. It sure will be swell when this thing is all over and everyone can get the things they want and not have to be rationed on things. I was reading where nylon here is going to be much better after the war than they were before so they sure out to be real hose. You said you had five pair put away for when I came home dearest so you ought to be all fixed up for then. You won’t need any for that first week I’ll bet dear, how about it Honey. We won’t need very much of anything like that dearest ‘cause we won’t be out of our room to be needing anything. Our robes will be all we will need dearest and not very much of the time either right dearest. Gosh Honey we have our meeting so wonderfully planned and we will be so awful darn happy and everything will be so heavenly.
Sure hope you didn’t burn your hand too bad on the waffle iron dear and sure hope it is all right by now. My thumb nail is almost all black now and I don’t know whether it is going to come off or grow out or what. Sure hope it grows out. Gee darling won’t it be wonderful when we can take care of each other in every way. I’ll be the best little nurse you ever saw dearest, yes I will Honey. You always looked after me so wonderful when we were going together dearest, gee but you are precious dearest and I love you so awful darn much.
Gee darling that was such a wonderful letter you wrote me in answer to one of mine. It was so wonderful when you said that you would never get discouraged dearest, that it was just loneliness and how true that is dearest. I know you will keep that sweet little chin up dearest and darling you know I will to and I know everything will really turn out wonderful in every way for us. Like you said dearest we both know that God is doing what he thinks best for us and that later on we will find out what really wonderful things he has done for us. We have so awful, awful much to be thankful for dearest and we both are so thankful to God to. He gave us each other dearest and that means the world and all to us. I know he hears our prayers dearest and will keep us safe and bring us together as soon as possible now. Honey you are the most precious little wife in the world and I love you so darn much. Gee but you are so wonderful dolly, so perfect in every way. Boy Honey I’ll say we are going to live in luxury that week or so we spend in our room. We have both done without our enjoyment for going on three years now dearest and we will sure be deserving of everything we do when we get together. Darling if our room doesn’t cost us too much we could spend our week there and then just keep the room and spend some nights there and during the day if we was downtown we could go up there and spend a few hours and such as that, you know what I mean dearest. We will have to spend a few nights at home dear and I want to spend a night or two in my little Honey’s home but then we would still have a few nights that we could go back to our hotel and we will probably be around town several days during the day and we could go up to our room and yes, yes darling what did you say. What do you think of my idea dearest. How much do you think our room will cost us a day Honey. Darling you said you was going to set aside a special fund for our furlough and I am going to keep back a couple of months of my pay when I think it is about time for my name to get drawn so we ought to be pretty well set dearest. Gosh Honey won’t it all be wonderful and we will be so darn happy.
Honey dear you are so awful sweet and I love you so awful darn much and you know I always will dolly. You are so darn sweet and precious in every way dearest. Honey dear our first embrace will be so awful wonderful and each other there after will be the same darling. Gosh Honey you are going to be dressed so awful wonderful for me, gee but you will be close to me darling and I will hold you so tight. Please take wonderful care of my precious parts Honey, gee but they are wonderful and I love them so awful darn much. Yours are fine dolly, miss you so awful, awful much but they will be together before long dearest.
