My Dearest Darling Wife,

Hello sweet little angel, how is my darling little wife? Awful, awful sweet I know and fine I hope you had better be dolly. Gee darling I received four of the sweetest letters from you today and gee but I was thrilled dearest. They were so sweet and precious darling just like all your wonderful letters are and so nice and big dearest. They were the twelfth, thirteenth, and fourteenth, and sixteenth of March dear so that was darn good. I also got three from the folks dolly. Gosh Honey your precious letters mean the world and all to me and they are so darn sweet. They made me so awful, awful happy dearest and make me feel so wonderful all over. Gosh Honey they give me the grandest feeling. Honey you had received three letters from me in my latest letter and I was so glad to hear that darling. Sure hope you are getting my mail all right now dearest. Honey dear you are so darn sweet and I love you so awful, awful much.

I am feeling fine now dearest and getting along alright in every way now. I have plenty of everything now. Well it has been a pretty nice day here honey, really hot though. It would sure be awful if there wasn’t usually a breeze blowing. Sure hope you are having some nice weather now dearest. Well Honey I worked this morning and went to lunch this afternoon. Today was Palm Sunday and the minister sure had a nice sermon. I sure do like to hear this new Chaplin, about the best we ever had in this outfit. Sure hope you got to go to cherish today dearest.

Well Honey this month’s quota came in yesterday and there was the whole sum of four men. Isn’t that awful Honey, gee but it sure does bring the moral down when a quote like that comes in. Two of my best buddies were drawn out of that four and I sure will miss them. One of them is the fellow from Michigan that you sent that banner to his mother Honey. I was sure glad to see him make it, his mother just passed away about two months ago, sure to bad he couldn’t of made it home a little sooner. It sure is hard on a guy to be gone from home like that when something like that happens. I hear old men are going on thirty four months over here now and still a lot of them left. Boy that sure is awful to keep a guy over here twenty one day furlough and I expect by the time they get through fooling with a guy a day or so of that is gone. A fellow in the states gets fifteen and what do we get. Boy Honey when I get out of all this it will be one of the happiest days in my life. I will sure know how a prisoner feels when he is let out of jail. Gee but I hope there is some big quotas come in now and get these old guys out of here. I sure would like to see that war on the other side end too, maybe that would speed this rotation up and I would have a lot better chance of staying in the states when I do get there. Gee darling we will be so darn happy when we get in each others arms and everything will be so darn wonderful and our day is coming darling.

Honey dear you ask me what I thought about going to St. Joe Watchinson. Well darling that would be all right I guess but I think if we just said we were going to meet some place between California and Kansas City and went ahead and got our room over town it would be a lot better. We will be able to spend our time to ourselves there dear and no one would ever know the difference and I believe it would be a lot better for us too darling because you couldn’t have near so far to go and neither would I and we will be in a city we know dear, get a better room and recommendation in a bigger hotel too Honey. It has been a long time since I was in the old town dear and it is really going to swell to look out of our hotel and have you in my arms and really feel at hone once again. Every minute of time is going to be precious to us too darling and it we meet out away from town like that it might take us several hours to make the right bus connectings and then it would be another two or three hour ride to get back home. Those twenty one days (which I will really be lucky if I come out on top with twenty one full days) are really going to be wonderful ones to us dearest and we don’t want to waste a minute that we can be spending together. One of the last groups of fellows that left wrote a letter back and he went right straight from California to his induction center and was given his furlough from there and I think that is the way it is all done now dearest. I sure do hope they are still sending them to those ust camps when I get back to dear because if they are, you will probably be able to make that trip right with me and we can be together as long as I am there and then when I am shipped out of there to some other camp you can come there and be right with me. You are going to spend everyday with me you can darling and where I go I want you right there with me. Gee oh gee how I am hoping and praying that I will never have to come back over when I once get home dearest. Surely this thing will all be over by the end of forty six and should be over before then and they way this rotation is going it will be six or eight months before I get my chance at it, I sure hope now, but anyway Germany will surely fall before very long now and then they will have a lot of troops to send this way and get this thing over with. Honey dear our meeting means so awful, awful darn much to us and we have it all planned so perfect and dearest our waiting over darling and Honey it is so wonderful to know that our day is in the near future. Darling if you feel we should have our meeting some place else now or in some other way you be sure and write me and we will get it all fixed up perfect. You be sure and answer right back about what you think my idea dearest. Gosh Honey it will be one of the happiest days in our life when our meeting day comes and then the next happiest day will be when I walk out of here into your sweet arms a free man. Gee darling it will be so darn wonderful to be in each others arms every minute of our time and be able to do what we want to and whenever we want to and with the memory of war in the past. It has all been so darn hard on us dearest but we are sure going to start making up for all this as soon as we get back in each others arms and dearest we will forget about all this and gee but we will be happy darling.

Honey dear you was telling me about going downtown the other Saturday and when you get to the bank you wouldn’t find your bill fold. You never did say whether you found it or not dearest but from the way you talked you must have, gee I sure hope so dearest. They sure does give a person any awful scare when you think you have lost your money. You said you went and paid my insurance darling so now that is done for a year now. I sure am glad you got your shoes dearest and got ones like you wanted. Gee darling they sure must be pretty, gray, and white with some black snakeskin and heelless and toeless too dear. Gee but I would like to be there to see them Honey. You said you got your slip and brassiere too dear in white like you wanted it. Sure hope you got the other piece in white too dearest, you would of if I had been Honey I’ll betcha dear. I bet that white does really look pretty under your new thin blouse dearest. I am sure glad you got everything like you wanted darling and honey I know you will look so perfect in every way. You always get your clothes so the look so dressy dear and they all go together so perfect and boy my little darling sure knows how to wear her clothes too. Gosh but I wish I could be there by your side Easter morning Honey and you know I will be in spirit dear. I am so darn proud of you dearest and gee but you have a wonderful pride darling and Honey. I know my sweet little wife always will too. Honey dear I am sure going to be looking for some precious pictures now. Take as many as you can darling, gee they mean so awful much to me. Honey I sure hope it is warm so you can take me some in your full suit and then just in your blouse without your coat like that. Darling we are going to take pictures a lot when I get home. Gee but I hope you can take me some pictures dearest, just got to see my little darling on Easter day. Sure hope you can take me a big picture right away too darling and Honey I know you will get one for me as soon as possible.

Honey dear you are so darn sweet and I love you so awful, awful darn much and dearest you know I always will. You are so darn sweet and so precious in every way dearest. Gee darling we are so happily married and love each other more every day. You are such a perfect little wife, dearest, so darn pretty from the tips of my beautiful blonde hair to the tips of my sweet little toes and gee all my own. Honey dear won’t it be wonderful to hold each other so awful tight and kiss each other so often. I know God hears our prayers and will keep us safe and bring us together as soon as possible now. Please take wonderful care of my precious parts Honey, gee but they are so wonderful and I love them so awful, awful much. Yours are fine dolly miss you so awful, awful darn much but they will be together before so very long dearest and how heavenly it will be. Honey you are the sweetest and most adorable little wife in this world and I love you so awful, awful darn much and you know I always will dearest.

Well sug. I guess I had better close for this time and I’ll write you as soon as possible now. I’ll be looking for your precious letters now dolly. Please be awful, awful careful now dearest and take wonderful care for my sweet little wife.
