My Dearest Darling Wife,
Hello sweet little angel, how is my darling little wife. Awful, awful sweet I know and fine I hope. You had better be dearest. Well sug no sweet letters today but I am sure hoping that some will come in tomorrow. I received two Christmas cards today, one from one of my buddies that went home and one from Becky. It sure does take some of that mail a long time to get here. Honey dear your precious letters mean the world and all to me and they are so darn sweet. They make me so awful, awful happy dearest and make me feel so wonderful all over. Gee darling it gives me the grandest feeling when I can get your precious letters. Sure hope you are getting my letters all right now dearest, Honey dear please don’t worry when you don’t hear from me for quite a while sometimes. You know I will always write you as often and as much as possible dearest. Honey you are so darn sweet and I love you so awful darn much.
I am feeling fine now darling and getting along all right. I have plenty of everything now dearest. Well Honey it is a pretty nice day here, plenty hot and dusty though. It is kind of a relief to not have it raining every few minutes. I sure hope it is nice at home now dear and not to cold. Well Honey I worked from midnite till six this morning and go back to work at six tonite. Boy that sure does get a guy down. It just seems like you never get rested up. Gee but it will be a wonderful day when this thing is all over and I am back in your sweet arms darling and can forget all about this army.
Honey I sent Mother a money order yesterday for your vase so now I have that fixed up. I always write her a couple of months before Christmas and tell her to find out what my sweet little wife wants for Christmas and get it for me and then I send her the money. I am sure happy to know that you got something you really wanted dear. It will be so darn swell in our new home darling. Gee Honey won’t it be heavenly when we get our new home and can use all our swell things, gee but we will be happy dearest.
Well Honey I went up another step yesterday. I made technician fifth grade. It is about the same as a corporal except you have a letter T under the two strips. Every little bit helps in wages and that is the main thing as long as I am in here. I was sure glad to get it. It really helps out on some of the details around camp to so that is a little something.
Darling you was telling me about Pop and Thad fixing some new light switches and putting a new top on the sink. You said you had finished the bathroom curtains to. I’ll bet they are sure pretty Honey. Sure will be glad when I get back and can see the new place dear. Gee but I am glad you got a swell little place dear. It is so darn much easier for you to take care of and so much handier. I know it is really swell for you to be able to come home to a nice warm house to dear. I know you are really happy over your swell bathroom to dear and gee but I am glad for you dear. Gee darling it will be so darn swell when we have our own little home. I’ll bet we really use our basement shower a lot in the summer months dear. When we are out working in the yard or something like that it will sure be swell to come in and clean up and cool off under the basement shower and it will save getting the bathrooms dirty to dear. Honey we will be so awful proud of our little home and always keep it fixed up so nice.
Honey dear I am sure glad you got up home last Friday nite. It doesn’t make it quite so bad when you ride out with Helen and Dad comes down and gets you dear. You said Mother walked down to the bus with you the next morning Honey. The folks was telling me about their wonderful daughter being up. Mother said boy you sure have got the most wonderful little wife there ever was. Gosh Honey I really know I have to and gee but I will be happy when I get back in your sweet arms and can tell you in person how wonderful you really are dear and how much I really love you. Sure will be glad when it gets warmer now dear cause then it won’t be so awful bad on you when you do ride those old buses out home. I sure do hope it was nice the Sunday you was going to have Noels and the folks over for dinner Honey. Gee but you are sweet to do all that Honey and have a swell cake for Helen and Mother. Sure wish I could be there to help you dear. It will sure be swell when we can have dinner and parties for our friends dear and can go out to them. Boy Honey the folks are sure tickled over the things you gave them for Christmas. You always give them such nice things dear and things they really enjoy. Gee but you are sweet dearest and I love you so darn much. I’ll say it will be wonderful when we can go up home together dear and sleep together all the time. I sure wish I could have been there to crawl under the covers with you to dearest. Gosh Honey won’t it be heavenly to be able to spend each and every nite together. Remember those nites you spent up home before I came to the army dear. We won’t have to spend any more like that now dear cause we can be right in each others arms all the time now Honey. It will be so heavenly when our day comes and we are back in each others arms. Our longest wait is all over now darling and I know God will answer our prayers and keep us safe and bring us together as soon as possible now.
Honey dear you are so darn sweet and I love you so darn much and you know I always will dearest. You are so darn sweet and so precious in every way dolly. Honey we are so darn happily married and love each other more every day. You are so darn pretty honey, from the tips of my beautiful blond hair to the tips of my sweet little toes and gee all mine. Honey it is so darn wonderful to see your sweet lip prints on my letters and it will be so heavenly when we can press our lips together and leave them on as long as we want to. Please take wonderful care of my precious parts Honey. Gee but they are wonderful and I love them so darn much. Yours are fine dolly miss you so awful much. You are the sweetest and most adorable little wife in this world dolly and I love you so darn much and you know I always will dear.
Well sug I guess I had better close for this time and I’ll write you as soon as possible now. I’ll be looking for your precious letters now dearest. Please be awful careful now dearest and take wonderful care of my sweet little wife. Remember now dolly chin up and always happy. Tell all hello dearest.
