My Dearest Darling Wife,
Hello sweet little angel, how is my darling little wife. Awful, awful sweet I know and fine I hope. You had better be dolly. Gee darling I got the sweetest letter from you today and I was so thrilled to get it darling. It was so darn sweet and precious dear, just like all your wonderful letters are. They mean so awful darn much to me dearest and they are so darn sweet. Gee but they make me happy darling and make me feel so wonderful all over. It gives me the grandest feeling when I can get your precious letters all right now darling. Honey dear you are so darn sweet and I love you so darn much.
I am feeling fine now dearest and getting along in every way now. I have plenty of everything now darling. Well Honey it is a real nice day here but it sure is hot. Boy it really does get hot in the daytime when the rain stops for a little while. I guess I am just so tired of this climate that I just don’t like it at any time dear. Sure hope the weather is nice at home now dear and not to cold. Well Honey I am feeling pretty good not. I am pretty well over my cold and my nose is sure feeling a lot better now that I’m not blowing it every minute or so. Boy those colds sure do get a person down. There was about four or five days that I sure felt awful. Well Honey I worked from six till noon today and go back to work at midnite tonite. Boy I sure do hate that shift.
Honey I got a Christmas card from Aunt Emma today. It sure was a nice one dear and she wrote a few words on the back of it. She said she knew I wouldn’t be able to get it by Christmas but that her best wishes came out to me just the same. She said she had been trying to get ahold of you but that you didn’t have the phone in at the new place yet. It was sure swell of her Honey and I want you to be sure and tell her I received it dear and sure thought it was nice. Honey I sure will be glad when I can meet all your relatives now. It has been so long since I last saw most of them that I wouldn’t know them I’ll bet.
Honey dear those cookies I received in my package were really wonderful. Honey they are the best I ever tasted that came over sea like this. One of my buddies said yesterday that boy they were sure the best he had ever tasted to come so far. Everything was really wonderful Honey and I got so much enjoyment out of it all dear. I sure am glad I received those honey and sure wish I could get the rest of them. That sure is a swell billfold dear and I am going to save that till I come home dear. Honey you are so darn wonderful to me and always send me so many swell things. You are the most wonderful little wife in this world dearest and I love you so darn much.
Honey that sure was awful that morning you waited an hour for the bus and it didn’t come. I know you was really froze dearest. I’ll bet you sure did give a sigh of relief when the bus came on time the next morning dear. Sure glad you went back home when you did dear and waited for Anna Mae. Sure wish you hadn’t of had so much work dear and could of stayed home that day. Gosh Honey I’ll bet you couldn’t feel those little feet they were so cold and I know those sweet little legs were just about froze to. Gosh Honey I get so darn mad when I think about all the things you are having to go through just by me being in this army. I really know how it is riding those old buses Honey. A person just dreads the time to come when you have to leave home to catch one cause you never know when it will get there in the bad weather like that. Honey you said you was coughing the next day to. I sure hope you got rid of that right away dear and didn’t get another awful cold. Honey we will both be so darn happy when we are back in each others arms and can really start our life together and have out own little car and not have to depend on anyone. All you will have to do Honey is step right out of the house into the car and I will have the car heated up some before we ever leave home and then I will take you right to where you are going darling and picking you up right where you want me to, at work or wherever you may be. And darling when you want the car anytime you can take me to work and go wherever you want to and not have to be out very long at a time in bad weather. Gee darling won’t it be heavenly and we will be so happy. Remember how cold it used to be some nites when we would go out dear. We always keep warm though didn’t we honey. Remember how I would take your shoes off dear and keep those sweet little feet warm. Then how we used to go about other things Honey. We really had a time doing it sometimes dear and still keep warm, but we made it some way. Won’t it be heavenly when we get back in each others arms dearest and won’t have to worry about anything like that, we will be so cozy in our little home. Honey I sure hope you never have to wait very long for a bus anymore and I sure hope you are over that cough dear. Please be awful careful dearest and take wonderful care of my sweet little wife.
Well Honey those fellows that were drawn for rotation last month left yesterday. I doubt if we get any quota this month but I am sure hoping so. Gee darling I sure hope I can make it home this summer sometime. Surely all these old men will be gone by then. They will have three years in by June and I don’t think any of them will be here by then. I expect some of the first ones that went home on furlough will be coming back one of these days. Gee darling it will be so wonderful when our time comes.
Honey dear you are so darn sweet and I love you so darn much and you know I always will dearest. Gosh darling you are so darn sweet and so precious. Isn’t it wonderful to be married and really own each other dearest. We will hold each other so awful tight dear and kiss each other so often. Darling I know god hears our prayers and will keep us safe and bring us together as soon as possible now. Please take wonderful care of my precious parts Honey, gee but they are wonderful and I love them so darn much. Yours are fine dear, miss you so awful darn much. You are the sweetest and most adorable little wife in this world dear and I love you so darn much and you know I always will dolly.
Well sug I guess I had better close for this time and I’ll write you as soon as possible now. I’ll be looking for your precious letters now dearest. Please be awful, awful careful now dolly and take wonderful care of my sweet little wife. Remember now dearest, chin up and always happy. Tell all hello dearest.
