My Dearest Darling Wife,
Hello sweet little angel, how is my darling little wife. Awful, awful sweet I know and fine I hope. You had better be dearest. Well dolly no sweet letters so far today but I am sure hoping that some will come in before the day is over. Gee darling those were sure precious letters I received yesterday, just like all your wonderful letters are. They mean so awful, awful darn much to me dearest and are so sweet. They make me so awful, awful darn much to me dearest and are so sweet. They make me so awful darn happy dearest and make me feel so wonderful all over. Gee darling it is such a grand feeling when I can get your precious letters. Sure hope you are getting my letters all right now dearest. Honey you are so darn sweet and I love you so darn much.
I am feeling pretty good now dearest and getting along alright in every way. I have plenty of everything now dearest. Well it is a pretty nice day here honey and I sure hope it stays nice now. Boy I am sure tired of all this rainy weather. Sure hope it isn’t to bad at home now dear. Well honey I go to work at six tonite and work till midnite. Sure would like to see them change us to a regular six hour shift out of ever twenty-four. Gee darling it will be so darn swell to get back in your sweet arms and back on the job where I will work the same hours every day. Gee but we will be happy dearest and everything will be so darn swell.
Gee darling I am so darn happy I got my two packages. They were so darn swell dearest and I enjoyed them so much dearest. The fellows sure did like those cookies dearest, boy they were sure good. I sure wish I could receive my fruit cake now darling. Gosh Honey you are so darn sweet and so darn swell to me in every way. I will be so happy when I am back in your sweet arms dear and can get you things like I want to dearest. I sure do hope I get these other packages you have sent me now darling. Sure wish I could of received my camera and film dear but I guess I will never see it now. Boy when a guy moves and has packages on the way he is sure lucky if he gets them. I sure hope I don’t have to move over one more time before I come back dear cause that sure is a lot of trouble.
Honey we just had some mail come in and I received the sweetest letter from you. It was January the sixteenth and was so darn wonderful dear, just like all your precious letters are. You had received two letters from me the day you wrote that to dear and I was so happy to hear that darling. Won’t it be heavenly when we are back in each others arms dear and won’t have to write letters anymore.
Drling you was telling me about this new tax that went into effect the first of the year. Gee honey you have over twice as much taken out of your check now. Is that there seventy five a pay or week dear or how much time is that for. Boy I am telling you these taxes are really awful and I guess the more a person makes the worse it is to but then the more you make the less you will notice the taxes to. It sure would be awful if you had to pay them all in a lump sum like you used to have to dear but where they take so much every pay day a person doesn’t notice it so much.
Well Honey I am feeling some better today. My nose is kind of stopped running and boy what a relief that is. I sure have felt awful the last two of three days. It is sure easy to catch a cold over here and I guess a guy is kind of run down and can’t turn off the germs so well.
Honey I went to the rooster fights here yesterday for a little while. They hold them every Sunday at most all the villages and there is one right here close to camp. They are sure interesting as long as they last. These people raise the roosters and train them to fight and when they think they are tops they bring them to the fights and match them against another rooster the same size and all. Then they bet so much money on them and every one that wants to bet on one can bet if he can find someone else to bet on the opposite rooster he picks. Some times there is three hundred pesos bet. Then they put the roosters in a ring and they have steel spurs on them about an inch or inch and a half long and it usually takes about a few seconds until one has the other one killed. Boy they sure do cut each other with those spurs. All the owner of the losing rooster gets is one leg off his rooster. It sure is some sport and these people really go in for it, about all they know I guess. They sure are gamblers, they are always gambling in one way or another.
Honey you was telling me about the dinette set. That is what I kind of had an idea it was dear. I’ll bet yours is sure pretty Honey cause those are sure pretty colors it has in it. I’ll bet those with the glassed in doors for the dishes are really swell dear. We will have to look around at some of the houses dear and see which way we will think we will like the best. As soon as we get back together dear we are going to start right in looking at furniture and homes and decide just what we want dear. We will have such a cute little house dear and furniture and we will have everything so cozy dear. We will be so proud of all our things dear and always be working to make things look better. Gee but we will be happy dearest and it will all be so heavenly.
Darling you are so darn sweet and I love you so awful darn much and you know I always will dearest. You are so darn sweet and so precious in every way dearest. Gosh Honey I am so darn lonesome for you and want to see you so darn bad. The worst of our waiting is over dearest and I know god hears our prayers and is watching over us and will keep us safe and bring us together as soon as possible dearest. Honey dear we will be so close together all the time and kiss each other so often, won’t it all be heavenly dear. Honey I am going to tickle those sweet little feet to, yes I am now darling. Honey, please take wonderful care of my precious parts, gee but they are wonderful and I love them so darn much. Yours are fine dear, miss you so awful darn much but we will have them back together before long now dear. Won’t it be heavenly dear, gosh Honey twenty nine months with out each other. You are the sweetest and more adorable little wife in this world dearest and I love you so darn much and you know I always will dearest.
Well sug I guess I had better close for this time and I’ll write you as soon as possible now. I’ll be looking for your precious letters now dearest. Please be awful, awful careful now dearest and take wonderful care of my sweet little wife. Remember now dolly chin up and always happy. Tell all hello dearest.
