My Dearest Darling Wife,
Hello sweet little angel, how is my darling little wife. Awful, awful sweet I know and fine I hope. You had better be dolly. Gee darling I received two of the sweetest letters from you today and I was so darn thrilled to get them darling. They were so darn sweet and precious dear, just like all your wonderful letters are. I also received three from the folks dear. Yours was the fifteenth and seventeenth of January dear so that was darn good. Gosh Honey your precious letters mean so awful, awful darn much to me and they are so darn sweet. They make me so awful darn happy dearest and make me feel so wonderful all over. Gosh Honey it gives me the grandest feeling when I can hear from you, just makes a different person out of me dear. Darling I sure hope you are getting my mail all right now. Dearest you are so darn sweet and I love you so awful darn much.
I am feeling fine now dearest and getting along all right in every way now. I have plenty of everything now dear. Well dolly it is raining here and has been all day. This morning it rained so hard and the wind really did blow. Sure does feel chilly to. Darling you are sure going to have a job keeping me warm. Gee won’t it be heavenly to snuggle up so close together and really keep each other warm darling. Sure hope the weather isn’t to bad at home now dear. Well Honey it was to wet for the job I have been on so I didn’t go out this morning. I got a hair cart today so now I have that over for a couple of weeks. We have a new barber now, our old one went home on rotation. He was sure a nice guy and I was always kidding him. His wife’s name was Naomi to, so there was always a lot of talk about Naomi when I and him got together.
Dearest you was telling me about getting a three piece suit. Gosh Honey I’ll bet that is really pretty and I am so glad you got one dear. Gee darling gray is always a pretty material to and you said that the buttons on the coat and jacket were just alike to, only the ones on the jacket were smaller. I’ll bet those pleats really make it look swell dear. And Honey you said the coat has a black velvet collar to, gee but I’ll bet that is pretty dear. Honey you said it really fits perfectly to. Sixty five dollars isn’t a bad price either dear, like you said honey the coat usually costs that much. Honey I am sure glad you got you one like you wanted and really like. That will really make you a nice Easter outfit dear. Now all you will need will be your shoes and hat and purse and gloves and things like that dear. Darling I ant some pictures of you in it now to. You can take some for me with the coat on and some with the coat off, alright dear. Gee darling I will be so darn happy when I am back in your sweet arms and can see your new clothes and we can go out and you will get some real enjoyment out of them dear. You will have it all paid for by Easter now dear and you won’t miss the money so much either. Darling it makes me so darn happy when you get yourself new clothes and things you want cause I know it makes you feel swell to dear. You know I want you to get anything you want or need in any way dearest. It will be so darn swell when we are back in each others arms and can go with each other to pick out all our clothes dear. Gee darling won’t it be wonderful to go shopping together whenever we want to.
Sure hope this finds you feeling swell and everything going along all right in every way at home now dear. Gosh Honey I sure hope Faye is back now and you don’t have so awful darn much work. That overtime is to darn hard on you dearest and then you said you had to walk from Welboon and it sure was dark dear. Gee darling, please be awful careful at nite like that. I sure hope you don’t have to work any more overtime now darling. Gosh Honey there is just too much comp. work for you to do all by yourself darling. Please be awful, awful careful dearest and take wonderful care of my darling little wife and please don’t work to hard now dear. Honey I am sure glad you moved cause when you do have to work at nite or want to stay down town you can catch the bus right out home and that is a real swell neighborhood over there and there isn’t near so much danger for a girl to walk from the bus line or to be at home by yourself at nite dear. Gosh Honey I was so darn worried about you over at that other place, you can never tell who might be out in there around those colored people. Now you are close to Ruth and have Bobbie or some of the little kids up with you most of the time and I know it really passes the time off a lot faster for you dear and makes it a lot better in every way for you. Gee darling it will be so heavenly when I am back in your sweet arms and we can be in each others arms all the time and you won’t have to ride the buses or depend on someone else whenever you want to go any place dear and you won’t have to be by yourself at all dear. Honey won’t it all be heavenly. The worst of our waiting is over now dear and I know God hears our prayers and will keep us safe and bring us together as soon as possiblenow. Darling it will be one of the happiest days in our life when this thing is all over and we can really start our life together.
Darling you are so darn sweet and I love you so awful, awful darn much and you know I always will dolly.You are so darn sweet and so precious in every way dear. Gosh Honey we are so happily married and love each other more every day. Honey dear when I get you in my arms I am going to squeeze you so awful tight and kiss you so often dear and you are going to be doing me the same way, ain’t you Honey. Darling you are the prettiest and sweetest little wife in this world and I love you so much dearest. Please take wonderful care of my precious parts Honey, gee but they are wonderful and I love them so darn much. Yours are fine dolly miss you so awful darn much. You are the sweetest and most adorable little wife in this world dolly and I love you so awful, awful darn much and you know I always will sweetheart.
Well sug I guess I had better close for this time and I’ll write you as soon as possible now dearest. I’ll be looking for your precious letters now dolly.
