My Dearest Darling Wife,

Hello sweet little angel, how is my darling little wife. Awful, awful sweet I know and fine I hope. You had better be dearest. Gee darling I received four of the sweetest letters today and gee but I was thrilled to get them darling. They were the eleventh , twelfth, thirteenth, and fourteenth of January dearest so that was darn good. Gosh Honey your precious letters mean the world and all to me and they are so darn sweet. They make me so awful, awful happy dearest and make me feel so wonderful all over. Gee darling it gives me the grandest feeling when I can get your precious letters. You had been getting my mail good to dear and I was so happy to hear that darling. You are so darn sweet dearest and I love you so awful darn much.

I am feeling fine now dearest and getting along all right in every way not. I have plenty of everything now dearest. Well dolly we had rain this morning, sure did come down for a little while to. It is kind of good to get the dust settled. Boy the dust is flying within four hours after it quits raining and the sun starts shining. You said it was nice weather at home dear and I sure hope it still is. Worked the morning shift this morning dear, really did rain while I was out to but it didn’t stop the job I was on.

Sure glad you and Ruth and the two boys went to the show the other nite dear. Like you said Honey when ever you go like that it passes off the time and is something different from everything else you usually do at nite. We have only had a few good shows since we have been here. We had one the other nite, it was “Broadway Swing” or something like that. I don’t remember whether that was the name exactly but anyway it was on that order. It was a show just like we like dear, plenty of good music and comedy. About the time we get a good show it rains you out. We have shows three nites a week and it always seems to manage to rain on those nites. Gosh Honey it sure will seem funny to me to go in a building to a show and have good seats and everything. Won’t it be heavenly when we are back in each others arms and can go everyplace together dear. Honey I am sure glad you go out when ever you can cause I know it passes off a little time for you and you get to enjoy yourself a little. I am sure glad you live close to Ruth dear cause now you and her will be able to go more and be together.

Well Honey we had six more men to leave for home today and twenty-five more picked to go next month, or at least they are supposed to go next month. Gee darling if they could get there more quotas like this last one they would take all the old men and then I would be eligible. They get a quota every month but you never know how many men it will be. One month we only had one man and now this coming month the quota is twenty-five men. Gosh Honey I am hoping and praying so much that I will get my chance before long. I am hoping so much that within the next three or four months all these guys will get out of here. I am sure anxious to hear from some of these guys that have left and find out they are processed when they get back. A fellow was telling me yesterday that they have you out of California within forty eight hours after you get there and then right on to you induction center by troop train or regular passenger. I sure would like to find out for sure dear and I guess we will by the time my time comes. I sure want my little darling there in California to meet me if I am going to be there a few days. Wouldn’t it be awful if you came out and I didn’t get to see you there and then got home before you dear . At any rate Honey we are going to have our meeting just like we planned whether it is in California or over town. Darling I want you to find out anything you can about it now to. This army they have to change things around ever so often and everything they do is usually just the opposite of what the rest of the armed forces do to. Gee darling won’t it be a heavenly day when we get back in each others arms and can hug and kiss each other all we want to. We don’t know how long it will be before our day comes dear but we know that the worst of our waiting is over dear and that every day that goes by is one day closer to our day. Honey we will be so darn happy and everything will be so wonderful. I’ll bet our first embrace will be the longest one we ever had dear and then Honey in a few minutes we will be just like the little bees. We will be so awful darn thrilled dear and gee but it will be heavenly.

Honey you had been working awful hard in all your letters today and had worked overtime to. Gosh Honey I sure hope Faye is back by now and you are all caught up again. That is just to darn much for you to try to handle by yourself dear. Boy Honey you sure did put in a hard day that Friday. You said you got up late and then when you got to work everyone wanted you to get things out for them and then you had to work until seven o’clock to. Gee darling that is just to darn much for you and I sure hope you aren’t working like that now dear. Please take it easy now darling and please don’t work to hard now.

Honey dear I know God hears our prayers and will keep us sage and bring us together as soon as possible now. Darling please take wonderful care of my precious parts, gee but they are wonderful dear and I love them so darn much. Yours are fine dear miss you so awful, awful darn much. You are so darn sweet dear, the most adorable little wife in this world and I love you so awful darn much and you know I always will dolly.

Well sug I guess I had better close for this time and I’ll write you as soon as possible now dear. I’ll be looking for your precious letters now dolly. Please be awful, awful careful dearest and take wonderful care of my sweet little wife. Remember now dolly chin up and always happy. Tell all hello dear.
