My Dearest Darling Wife,
Hello sweet little angel, how is my darling little wife. Awful, awful sweet I know and fine I hope. You had better be dearest. Well dolly no sweet letters so far today but I am sure hoping that some will come in before the day is over. I got a few papers in the noon mail. There is still a few packages coming in but I don’t seem to get any dear. I guess I never will get my packages. I am still hoping that some of them will come in though dear. Honey your precious letters mean the world and all to me and they are so darn sweet. They make me so awful, awful happy dearest and make me feel so wonderful all over. It gives me the grandest feeling when I can get your precious letters dearest. I sure hope you are getting my letters all right now dear. Honey you are so darn sweet and I love you so awful, awful darn much.
I am feeling fine now dearest and getting along all right in every way now. I have plenty of everything now dear. Well Honey it is a real nice day here, really dusty on the roads though. Sure hope it stays nice now. It is really hot today but there is a pretty good breeze blowing. Sure hope it is nice at home now dearest and not to cold. Gee darling it will be so darn wonderful when we are back in each others arms and can really enjoy every season together.
Honey dear you was telling me about one of the girls giving you a real cute pair of baby pants that her Mother had knitted. Gee but I’ll bet they are cute dear and really pretty to. You said her Mother was going to make you another pair dearest for our twins. Gosh Honey it will be so darn swell when we can start our little family. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if our dream of twins would come true dear. Gee darling we will be so darn happy and everything will be so wonderful.
Darling I received that piece by Dorothy Dix in one of my last letters and that is sure true facts Honey. If two people get married and have different ideas on things their marriage won’t be a happy one. We are so much alike dearest and see everything the same way. We were really meant for each other darling and I know that this isn’t or never will be a marriage any happier than ours dear. Just like we used to do when we went out dear, if one of us wanted to go one place and the other wanted to go someplace else we would decide between ourselves and try and make it so we could go one place that nite and the other place the next nite or something like that. We have never had any words in any way dearest and our eight years darling and honey I know we never will. We really love each other darling and all our ideas are alike. We like to do the same things, go to the same things, just the same in every way dearest. We will really show the world how happily married we are when we get back together dear. For over two years all we could do was tell everyone how happy we were with each other but our days are coming when we will be able to show everyone darling. Honey we are so happily married and love each other more every day. It will be so heavenly when we are in each others arms darling and can really start our life together.
Honey dear you are so darn sweet and I love you so awful darn much and you know I always will dearest. You are so darn sweet and so precious in every way dolly. Boy honey I’ll say it will be just like getting married all over when we get back together. The only full nites we ever got to spend together was Saturday nites and Sundays was the only full day. I had to get up so darn early on Monday morning that it seemed like I was getting up in the middle of the nite. Now honey when I get my furlough we will be together for twenty one days and nites or thirty, whichever it is. Gee won’t it be heavenly dear and then honey when this thing is all over and we can really start our life together for the rest of our lives. Honey you are going to tell me just how you are going to be dressed now aren’t you. Darling that first embrace will be one never equaled before by us and then it will be one long one right after another dear, in each others arms all the time darling. Then honey soon after our embrace the precious parts, gee darling won’t it be heavenly so close together. Honey I know God hears our prayers and will bring us together as soon as possible now and keep us safe. Dearest you are the sweetest and most adorable little wife in this world and I love you so darn much and you know I always will dear.
Well sug I guess I had better close for this time and I’ll write you as soon as possible now dearest. Please be awful, awful careful now darling and take wonderful care of my darling little wife. Remember now dolly, chin up and always happy. Tell all hello dearest.
