My Dearest Darling Wife,
Hello precious little angel, how is my adorable little wife. Awful, awful sweet and precious I know and fine I hope. You had better be darling. Gee dearest I received two of the sweetest letters from you yesterday evening and I was so darn thrilled to get them dear. They were December the twenty first and twenty third dear so that was pretty good time. I also got four from the folks and one from Mae and Peg and it was December the twenty eighth so it really came fast. I also got a lot of papers Honey but no more packages. I sure do hope some more of them come in dearest but I expect most of them will be lost. Gosh but I hope not. Honey dear your precious letters mean the world and all to me and they are so darn sweet. They make me so awful darn happy dear and make me feel so wonderful all over. Gee but it gives me the grandest feeling when I can get your wonderful letters darling. Honey dear you had been getting my mail pretty good to and I was so darn happy to hear that dear. Sure hope it is still coming in good Honey. Sweetheart you are so darn sweet and I love you so awful darn much.
I am feeling fine now dearest and getting along all right in every way now. I have plenty of everything now dearest. Well dolly it is a real nice day here, the sun is out bright and this is morning and it is still pretty cool but it will be plenty hot before the day is over I guess. Sure would like to see it stay nice now. Sure hope the weather isn’t bad and cold now at home dear. I expect it is pretty cold though cause it usually always is in January. Well I work the twelve to six shift today Honey. It has dried up enough so we can start to work again now I think.
Well dearest today is Sunday and gee what I would give to be there with you dearest. I haven’t been to church since we got here cause we don’t have any Chaplain now and don’t have any church services. I sure do miss getting to go. Sure hope you got to go today darling. Gee Honey we could enjoy ourselves so darn much if we was together today. We could sleep late this morning and then get up and go to church and if it was a real nice day we could go out for a nice drive or maybe go out hunting and then if it was real bad we could go to a show or just stay home and be so cozy in our little home. Gosh Honey we will be able to go when ever we want to now and come home when we please and do everything just like we want to and be together every minute of our time. We will be so awful darn happy dearest and everything will be so heavenly. Remember how we used to go out on Sunday nites Honey. We hardly ever went anyplace. I would come down and have my little dolly dress real comfie and then we would just go out riding and usually within a couple or three hours we would be out by Ragans. Then we would be, well you know dear just like the bee. Gosh Honey wasn’t it heavenly. It will be so darn wonderful when we are back in each others arms now and can go back to some of our old stops where we spent hour after hour and go back now as man and wife. Not a thing to worry about in any way now dear. Boy Honey we are sure going to start making up for this lost time as soon as we get back in each others arms. I’ll bet there won’t many minutes elapse between our meeting and then, how about it dear. Going on twenty eight months now darling, gee but that is an awful long time Honey. Honey I know there isn’t a happier married couple in this world than us and we will always be that way darling. You are so darn sweet Honey dear and gee but I love you so awful much angel.
Honey you was saying that you was going to Ward’s the Saturday before Christmas and get a medicine chest for the bathroom. What has Helen been doing Honey, working there on Saturdays during the Christmas rush. Sure hope you was able to get it dear cause ten percent off is that much.
Darling that was sure swell, you getting those tablecloths to fix your curtains. Gee darling you are so darn thoughtful about anything like that. Everyone will think you bought them already made I’ll bet dear. I’ll bet those are a lot prettier than you could of bought for any kind of a price dear. That was sure a lot of hard work for you dear but you have things fixed like you want them now and saved all that to. Gosh Honey you are so darn well at making anything like that. You make everything so darn neat and fix it so nice it first looks like it was picked out of the store window. You are so thrifty darling, gee but I am proud of you dearest. I know we will always be able to take care of our money dear cause we both have worked darn hard for what we have got and we both know how to spend our money to make it go the farthest. Darling I sure hope you have your little house all straightened up now and fixed like you want it. You have sure put in a lot of hard work on it dearest. Gee darling won’t it be heavenly when we have our little home all finished and all fixed up in every way.
Honey dear you are so darn sweet and I love you so awful, awful darn much and you know I always will dearest. You are so darn sweet and so precious in every way dolly. Gee darling we are so happily married and love each other more everyday. You are such a wonderful little wife dearest and so darn pretty from the tips of my beautiful blond hair to the tips of my sweet little toes, yes you are dearest. My precious little blondie aren’t you darling. Dearest won’t it be heavenly when we can hold each other so tight and kiss each other so often. It will be so wonderful to have your precious little lips pressed against mine dear. Remember how we used to hold each other there in the living room dear when we would spend an hour or so there together. Now we can do that in our own little home dear and for as many hours as we like. We will be to ourselves and really belong to each other now and we can do whatever we want to, dressed like we want to and everything. Honey dear I know god hears our prayers and will keep us safe and bring us together as soon as possible now. Please take wonderful care of my precious parts Honey, gee but they are wonderful and I love them so darn much and you know I always will angel.
Well sug I guess I had better close for this time and I’ll write you as soon as possible now dearest. I’ll be looking for your precious letters now dolly.
