My Dearest Darling Wife,
Hello sweet little angel, how is my darling little wife. Awful awful sweet I know and fine I hope. You had better be dolly. Well Honey no sweet letters so far today but I am sure hoping that some will come in before the day is over. Gosh Honey my letters yesterday were so darn sweet, just like all your wonderful letters are. Your precious letters mean the world and all to me dear and they are so wonderful. They make me so awful, awful happy dear and make me feel so wonderful all over. Gosh Honey I was so darn happy to hear that you had been getting my mail and you was feeling so much better dear and so much happier. Won’t it be wonderful when we are back in each others arms and won’t have to write letters anymore. You are so darn sweet and I love you so awful darn much dear.
I am feeling fine now dear and getting along all right in every way. I have plenty of everything now dearest. Well Honey it is a pretty nice day here and I sure hope it stays this way now. It has started to dry up pretty good now. Gee but it is a relief when it quits raining and dries up for a little while. Sure hope the weather isn’t to cold at home now dear. Well honey my mouth is about the same a little better I believe. I doctored it up last nite before I went to bed and I think it helped a little. You can’t keep medicine on it though cause your mouth is always wet and it hits right against my teeth. Sure hope it gets better now. Well honey we are going to have ice cream again tonite for supper. I guess we will be able to have it at least once a week now since they got this ice machine. Boy something like that is really a wonderful help for a guy over here. We can have cold drinks and ice cream and jello and things like that are impossible without ice or a refrigerator.
Gosh Honey we just had some mail come in and I got a swell package from you dolly. I was so darn happy to get it dear and it was so darn nice. It sure did come in good shape to dear. It was the one with the stationary, soap, tooth paste and three boxes of raisins and that nice can of lemon drops and peanut brittle and the two cans of potted meat dear. Gosh Honey everything was in such good shape and I am enjoying it all so much and will get so much good out of it all dear. That candy sure did come in good shape in the can like that dear. Most of that hard candy is all melted together by the time it gets here but this was in swell shape. I sure do like those raisins to honey and those little cans of meat will sure come in handy between meals or with meals either. That Colgate tooth paste is sure good to honey, it sure is popular with all the fellows. The stationary was sure nice to dear, gosh Honey just a wonderful box in every way. I got so much enjoyment out of your boxes dear and they make me feel so darn swell. You are such a wonderful little wife Honey and so darn swell to me. I will be so awful, awful happy when I am back in your sweet arms and can get you some nice things dear and make up for all these swell things you have sent me darling. You are so darn precious and so wonderful to me dear and Honey I love you so awful, awful much. Honey dear I also got a letter from the folks today and one from Thad and Anna Mae. Gee but I was surprised to hear from them dear and they wrote me such a nice letter. I sure hope I get time to answer it now before long. Anna Mae told me all about the little kids, boy they sure must be big now. She told me how tall each one of them was and they sure have grown since I last saw them. That is a long time ago though, about thirty months now. Anna Mae said it was really remarkable the way we have kept our spirits up and that I certainly do have so much to come home to, such a sweet little wife. Boy Honey I really know how lucky I am to have such a wonderful little wife to come home to. There isn’t a man in the service anywhere that has any more to come home to than I have dear, cause you are the most wonderful little wife in the world dear and mean everything to me. My whole life is yours Honey and built around you. I want so much to make you happy darling and make you the best husband in the world. You know I will do everything in my power when I get back in your sweet arms darling and all I can do now to, which isn’t very much, to make you the happiest little wife there is. We have kept our spirits up because we really love each other dear and everything we do or think about is each other dear. We know our life will be complete when this is all over and we can really start our life together dear. It all means everything to us Honey and helps us hold our spirits high and we always will to, won’t we dolly. Honey dear you are so darn sweet and I love you so darn much.
Honey dear I sure hope you are feeling swell again now and everything going along all right in every way now. Please be awful, awful careful now dearest and take wonderful care of my darling. Honey dear when ever you don’t feel good I want you to see a doctor to. Keep good and warm dear and don’t get wet dear. Honey it will be so darn wonderful when I am back in your sweet arms and you won’t have to worry about riding buses and being out in the cold. We will have out little car and have a good heater and I will take you right up to the door and come and get you dear or you can take the car and take me to work and you can have the car to go where ever you want to dear and we will have our car to go where ever we want to and we will have out little home and be so cozy dear. Please take it easy dear and don’t work to hard now.
Honey dear you are so darn sweet and I love you so awful darn much and you know I always will dolly. You are so darn sweet and so precious in every way dear. Gee darling we are so happily married and love each other so darn much. Darling I’ll bet I will be able to kiss you twice as fast as I used to and hold you so awful tight dear. Honey I know God hears our prayers and will keep us safe and bring us together as soon as possible now. Please take wonderful care of my precious parts Honey, they are so wonderful and I love them so darn much. Yours are fine dear, miss you so much. You are the sweetest and most adorable little wife in this world dear and I love you so darn much and you know I always will dearest.
Well sug I guess I had better close for this time and I’ll write you as soon as possible now dear. I’ll be looking for your precious letters now dear.
