My Dearest Darling Wife,
Hello sweet little angel, how is my darling little wife. Awful, awful sweet I know and fine I hope. You had better be dearest. Well dolly no sweet letters today but I am sure hoping that some comes in before very long now. There is quite a few packages in today but they aren’t sorted yet, sure hope I get some out of the bunch. Gosh Honey I hope so much that our mail will start coming in better. Your precious letters mean so awful awful much to me dearest and they are so darn sweet. They make me so darn happy dearest and make me feel so wonderful all over. Gee darling it brings the moral up one hundred percent when I can get your precious letters. I hope so much that you are getting my letters all right now dearest. Honey dear you are so darn sweet and I love you so awful darn much.
I am feeling fine now dearest and getting along all right in every way. I have plenty of everything now darling. Well Honey it is raining here today and it sure is a mess out. So darn wet and muddy and it is sure cool to. We have been over here in this hot weather so darn long that we really get chilly when it gets the least bit cool. Boy I just took a shower a few minutes ago and I thought I would freeze. The water was so cold and the wind was blowing the goose bumps were really thick honey. Gosh but it will be swell to get to take a good hot bath once again, over two years now since I had one dear. I’ll have my little honey there to wash my back now to, won’t I darling. I sure hope you are having some nice weather dear and not to cold. I am sure going to enjoy that cold weather when I get home dear, at least for a little while until I get used to it again. I sure hope I never have to be in a cold place as long as I am in this army but I can sure take it any place if they just take me to the states and leave me there and I can have my dolly with me. I sure hope that I get in some camp down south though when I get back there cause it would be nice for you and me to dear. I sure wish this rotation would speed up so all these old guys would leave and I would have a chance then. The quotas will sure have to start getting bigger and get them out or I’ll be sticking around when this thing is over. These fellows are going on thirty one months now and most of them still here. I was sure hoping that the war in Europe would end before long and they could turn everything to this side and then they would start sending the guys home a lot faster especially when they had as much time in as we have but now they are getting a big setback over there and no telling how much longer it will take to end it. Honey it is so darn discouraging sometimes it really gets a guy down and I know it is darn hard on you to darling. But Honey we have two years over our head now and we know we have over half of it whipped and that we are on the part toward each other now. You won’t ever get discouraged will you dolly please don’t Honey dear cause our time is coming and when it does we will really make up for all this. You will always be waiting for me won’t you Honey and never get tired of waiting. I know it is darn hard on you dolly but please don’t get discouraged Honey dear. Every day a guy spends over here is just like spending it in prison only we don’t have it half so nice and the boys on the front lines are having it twice as hard as us. Gee but it will be a wonderful day when I am back in your sweet arms darling and can forget all about this. It won’t take us long after we get back together to have our little home all paid for and all straightened up in every way dear and you will be able to quit working and we can have our little family and be so darn happy. Won’t it all be heavenly dearest. Darling I know god hears our prayers and will answer them and keep us safe and bring us together as soon as possible. Isn’t it wonderful to know God Honey and be able to go to him for help. Darling we are so happily married and love each other so darn much. You are so darn precious Honey, just the sweetest little wife in this world.
Boy Honey I have two of three of those little canker sores on the inside of my mouth, at least that’s what I call them. I guess they are kind of like a fever blister only on the inside of my mouth. Boy they sure do hurt and especially when I am eating or brushing my teeth. I guess it is something in the food, probably too much acid. I sure have been having a lot of them lately.

Gosh Honey it will be so heavenly when I can hold you in my arms so tight and kiss you one time right after another. You are so darn pretty darling from the tops of my beautiful hair to the tips of my sweet little toes. Honey I am going to tickle those sweet little toes to, yes I am angel. Honey please take wonderful care of my precious parts. They are so darn wonderful and I love them so much. Yours are fine dear, miss you so awful darn much.
