My Dearest Darling Wife,

Hello sweet little angel, how is my darling little wife. Awful awful sweet I know and fine I hope. You had better be dearest. Well dolly I only got one letter today and it was from the folks but I got another awful sweet one from you yesterday evening after I had finished your letter. That made me three wonderful letters yesterday Honey and I was so darn thrilled to get them. Your precious letters mean the world and all to me darling and they are so darn sweet. They make me feel so wonderful all over. Gosh Honey it gives me the grandest feeling when I can hear from you. I feel so awful and get the blues so darn bad when I can’t hear from you dear but gee I sure come out of the dumps when I hear from my baby doll. I sure hope you are getting my mail all right now dear but I expect it is pretty well tied up like this is here. You are so darn sweet dolly and I love you so awful darn much.

I am feeling fine now dearest and getting along all right in every way now. I have plenty of everything now. Well it is pretty nice here today and I sure hope it stays this way now. It sure is swell to be able to walk around and not go in mud over your shoe tops. Sure hope you are having some nice weather now and sure hope it isn’t too cold now. Gosh Honey it will be so darn wonderful when I am back in your sweet arms and we can really start our life together.

Well Honey this is Christmas eve and what I wouldn’t give to be there in your sweet arms darling. I worked the morning shift again today and then I got my hair cut this evening and cleaned up and now I am writing you dear. If I was home with you dear we would be getting ready to go do our last minute shopping and then go out somewhere for a little while and then go to church at midnight. That is the way we used to do almost every Christmas eve wasn’t it dear. Gosh honey we would be so darn happy and be having so much fun. I guess I will have to work tomorrow, don’t know for sure yet. We don’t have any chaplain now so I guess we won’t even have any church services. Those wonderful letters yesterday were sure a swell Christmas gift for me dear and I am sure hoping tomorrow will bring some more. Seven years ago tonight you first met my folks dear and gosh what a wonderful time we had honey. Remember I came down around ten o’clock, after you got home from church and I took you up home dear. They had a party that night and you got to meet a lot of the girls that worked with Mother. Several of the guys got too much to drink that night too. I didn’t get you home until about three in the morning dear. I think that was about the first time we had ever stayed out that late. Then I had you up home Christmas day Honey. Gosh darling we spent every Christmas together after that until I got in this army. We are both hoping and praying so much that we can be together by the holiday season next year dear and I know God will bring us together as soon as possible dear. Boy, Honey we will sure make up for these last years the first Christmas we are back together. We would be so terribly happy if we could be together tonight dear. The first Christmas we are back together will be the first one that we will be able to spend every minute of it together dear and it will be the most wonderful one we ever had dear. Honey marriage is the most wonderful thing there is when two people that love each other like we do can really belong to each other.

Gosh Honey I am hoping so much that this finds you feeling wonderful and everything going along all right in every way with you dear. Honey I will be so happy to get some later letters from you to see how my sweet little angel is. Honey if only I was home to take care of you. I would keep you in bed until you was good and well dear and really keep you doctored up, yes I would dolly. I’ll be the best nurse you ever saw dear. You wouldn’t have to worry about a thing dear, I would take care of the house and get the meals and everything, sure I would darling. Gosh Honey won’t it be heavenly when we are back in each others arms and can take care of each other in every way. We really looked after each other when we were just going together darling. Lots of times you made me come in and take some medicine before I would go home and lots of times I made you promise me that you would take some dear. Now when we get back in each others arms we will be together every minute of our time darling and can really take wonderful care of each other. Darling please take wonderful care of my baby now and don’t work to hard now dearest. Honey please keep good and warm all the time now and whenever its wet you be sure and wear your rubbers dear. Gee darling I just can’t have my little wife sick. I know you will take wonderful care of my sweet little wife won’t you dear.

Honey you are so darn sweet and I love you so awful darn much and you know I always will dear. You are so darn sweet and so precious Honey. Darling won’t it be wonderful if I was there in your sweet arms and could give you a lot of Christmas eve kisses and you could give me a lot. I am going to kiss you so often dear and hold you so awful tight. Honey I know God hears our prayers and will answer them as soon as possible. Please take wonderful care of my precious parts dear, gee but they are wonderful and I love them so darn much. Yours are fine dear, miss you so awful much. You are the sweetest and most adorable little wife in this world dear and I love you so darn much and always will dolly.

Well sug I guess I had better close for this time and I’ll write you as soon as possible now dolly. I’ll be looking for your precious letters now dearest. Please be awful, awful careful Honey and take wonderful care of my sweet little wife. Remember now dearest, chin up and always happy. Tell all hello sweetheart.
