My Dearest Darling Wife,

Hello sweet little angel, how is my darling little wife. Awful awful sweet I know and fine I hope. You had better be dolly. Well Honey no mail again today. I got four August papers and that was all. It has been way over a week now since we had any letters. Gosh but I wish some would come in dear. I get the blues so darn bad Honey and feel so awful when I don’t get your precious letters. Your wonderful letters mean the world and all to me darling and they are so darn sweet. They make me so awful happy dearest and make me feel so wonderful all over. Gee darling it gives me such a good feeling when I can get your precious letters. Honey I sure hope you are getting my mail all right now but I expect it is all tied up too. I sure hope it isn’t dear. Honey you are so darn sweet and I love you so darn much and you know I always will dear.

I am feeling fine now dearest and getting along all right in every way now. I have plenty of everything now. Well honey it has been a pretty nice day here. Rained a little but nothing to amount to anything. I sure hope it stays this way now for a little while. Sure hope you are having some good weather now dear and sure hope it isn’t too cold. It sure is nice sleeping here Honey, really nice and cool at night, that is usually. It is a little warm sometimes when you first go to bed but cools off good by midnight and you wake up and have to pull the blanket over you. Boy the first few weeks we was here we was up all night almost on account of the air raids but they hardly ever bother at night any more. Gee darling won’t it be heavenly when we can go to sleep together every night and sleep in each others arms all night and wake each other with a big kiss every morning. We will be so awful happy dear and everything will be so wonderful.

Well darling three more days to Christmas. We could be having so darn much fun if we was together now dear. There is always so many things going on around Christmas and so many things to do. We would have our little home fixed up so pretty and our tree all fixed up. Gee darling won’t it be wonderful doing all our shopping together and fixing up all our packages and all like that. Sure hope you have all your shopping and everything done now dear. It seems like a person always has a little last minute shopping to do though. That is really a job for you Honey to have to do all that by yourself. You don’t any more than get through with your Christmas shopping one year until you have to start the next year. You have to start in September for me and then by the time you get mine finished it is time to start your regular Christmas shopping. Next year we will be together and you won’t have to send my presents here. This station will surely work out for me by then.

Sure hope this finds you feeling swell dear and everything going along all right in every way at home. Please be awful awful careful Honey and take wonderful care of my sweet little wife. Sure hope you aren’t working too hard now dear. Please take it easy dear and don’t work too hard now. Darling I will be so happy when I get back on the job and we get straightened out and you can quit working. You have worked so darn hard for us darling and saved us so much. It won’t take us so very long to get straightened out dear cause we will have a good start when this is all over. Gee darling you will be waiting right at the door for me with a big kiss every night won’t you. And darling whenever you want to use the car you can take me to work and them come and get me in the evening and we can go home and get supper or eat out, gee darling anything we want to do. We will be so darn happy dear and everything will be so wonderful

Gee darling I am so darn lonesome for you and want to see you so darn bad. Twenty seven months now since we last saw each other dear and gee it seems like that many years. It will be so heavenly when we are back in each others arms and can forget all about this dear and really start our life together. Gee darling I dream and think about our first meeting so much and all the wonderful hours that we will have for the rest of our life. I’ll bet we will be like the bee Honey in a short time after we get together. We’ll really be buzzing I’ll betcha dear, right. Remember how wonderful those nights were in Texas dear and now they will be more wonderful than ever. We sure fixed up those twin beds in a short time there at the Baker Hotel, didn’t we dear. Gee but it was awful when I had to get up early in the morning and leave you dear now when we get back together we can get up in the morning when we want to and go to bed when we want to. Gee but it will be wonderful when I am free Honey and can go wherever I want to and do whatever I want to. I’ll be able to walk out the gate into your sweet arms with a discharge one of these days darling and be yours and yours only and no one will have any say over me. Gee but we will be happy dear.

Honey dear you are so darn sweet and I love you so awful awful darn much and you know I always will dolly. You are so darn sweet and so precious in every way dear. We are so happily married dear and love each other more every day. Darling I know God hears our prayers and will answer them and keep us safe and bring us together as soon as possible now. Please take good care of my precious parts Honey, gee but they are so wonderful and I love them so darn much. Yours are fine dear, miss you so awful darn much. You are the sweetest and most adorable little wife in this world dear and I love you so darn much and always will dolly.

Well sug I guess I had better close for this time and I’ll write you as soon as possible now dear. I’ll be looking for your sweet letters now dear. Please be awful careful sweetheart and take wonderful care of my dolly. Remember now dear, chin up and always happy. Tell all hello dear.
