My Dearest Darling Wife,
Hello sweet little angel, how is my darling little wife. Awful awful sweet I know and fine I hope. You had better be dearest. Well dolly no sweet letters so far today but I am sure hoping some will come in before the day is over. Gosh Honey it sure seems like our mail would start coming in. maybe as time goes by it will get better, boy I sure hope so anyway. Gee darling your wonderful letters mean so awful awful much to me and they are so darn sweet. They make me so awful happy darling and make me feel so wonderful all over. Gee darling I get the blues so darn bad when I can’t get your precious letters. They are all I have to look forward to Honey and from the time I get up until night I am hoping that I can hear from my darling little wife. Letters mean so awful darn much when two people are so far apart like we are dear. Gee but it will be wonderful when we are back in each others arms and won’t have to write letters any more dear. I sure hope you are getting my letters all right now dear cause I know you feel just like I do when you don’t hear from me. You are so darn sweet Honey and I love you so awful darn much and you know I always will dearest.
I am
feeling fine now darling and getting along all right in every way now. I have
plenty of everything now dearest. Well Honey it has been a real nice day here
and I sure hope it stays like this now for about a month or just a little rain
to kind of keep the dust down. Boy I sure am tired of all this mud. Sure hope
you are having some nice weather now dear and sure hope it isn’t to cold. Well
dear I worked this afternoon. I just got this letter started this morning
before I went to work so I will try and get it finished now, that is providing
the planes don’t give us a visit. We still have several alerts during the day
and night but I haven’t seen a Jap plane now for a week or more. It would suit
me just fine if I never saw any more of them too except in a big heap on the
ground. Boy they sure have lost a lot of planes and now they are bombing their
plane factories and that sure is going to go hard on them. I sure wish it was
so they could bomb
Well Honey we started having shows now. We have had two now, and tonight and one before last. I haven’t been yet cause I had to work night before last and I didn’t get to finish your letter today so I didn’t go tonight. Maybe I will be able to go to the next one though. It has been almost three months now since I saw a show. Won’t it be heavenly when we can go together dear and sit down and relax with our hands clasped together and our arms around each other and I’ll bet I can still steal a lot of kisses during the course of a show dear. What do you think darling. Gosh Honey we always enjoyed our selves so much where ever we went or whatever we done, just so we were together we were happy.
Sure hope this finds you feeling swell and everything going along all right in every way now dear. I sure hope you aren’t working any overtime now darling. Please take it easy now dearest and be awful awful careful and please don’t work to hard. Sure hope you have all your Christmas shopping done now Honey and I’ll bet you have. Just five more days after today. Gee but I am hoping and praying so much that we will be back in each others arms by this time next year dear. Surely they will give this outfit big enough quotas so that they will all be back by the last of this summer and then as soon as all the old guys are gone the bunch ____ came in will be next to go and there isn’t so many of us left now. There is only six in the company that I am in. A lot of them has gone back sick or old age. We was the first replacement in this outfit so we have the most time next to the old men that come over in the outfit. Two years I have been over here the ninth day of January dear, gee but it seems like a century. Honey it will be one of the happiest days in my life when I get back in your sweet arms.
Honey I am enjoying my box so much, everything sure is swell. I haven’t eaten any of the fruit cake yet. It sure does look swell. Darling you are such a perfect little wife and so wonderful to your husband. You always send me so many nice things Honey and always do everything in your power for me. Honey dear I will be so darn happy when I can get you nice things and we will be able to hand each other our presents in person and with a big kiss.

Twenty seven months now in a few days since we last saw each other darling, gee but what a long time it has been. Honey I think so much about our first meeting and then all the wonderful minutes and hours that we will spend for the rest of our lives. I am going to hold you so darn tight and kiss you one time right after another dear. I am going to tickle those sweet little feet to Honey and kiss that sweet little neck, yes I am dear. I’ll have your shoes off about half the time when we are around home dear. Honey I know God hears our prayers and will keep us safe and bring us together as soon as possible now. Please take wonderful care of my sweet wife dear and my precious parts. They are so wonderful and I love them so darn much. Yours are fine dear, miss you so awful darn much. You are the sweetest and most adorable little wife in this world darling and I love you so awful darn much and you know I always will dear.
