My Dearest Darling Wife,

Hello sweet little angel, how is my darling little wife. Awful awful sweet I know and fine I hope. You had better be dearest. Gosh Honey I got two of the sweetest letters from you today and I was so darn thrilled to get them dear. They were so darn sweet and precious just like all your wonderful letters are dearest. They were October the twentieth and twenty fifth. Gosh but I would like to get some late mail from you darling. I never have received any letters that you heard from me from here dear and I have been almost two months here now. Gosh Honey your precious letters and so darn sweet and they mean the world and all to me dolly. They make me so awful awful happy and make me feel so wonderful all over darling. Gosh Honey it gives me the grandest feeling when I get your wonderful letters. I sure hope you are getting my letters all right now darling. You are so darn sweet dearest and I love you so awful awful darn much.

I am feeling fine now dearest and getting along all right in every way. I have plenty of everything now dearest. Well Honey it is raining here again today and boy sure muddy and wet. Gosh darling this is sure getting old, every time you step outside you are muddy and everything you touch is mud. Gee but I would like to see it clear up and stay dry. Sure hope you are having some nice weather at home now darling and sure hope it isn’t to cold. Well I worked from midnight to six this morning and go back to work at six tonight. Boy that sure is a lot of time to put in. You really put in seven or eight hours every shift cause you have to be on the job by six or twelve and it takes you some time to get ready to go and then by the time you eat your meals and put in a little sleep there isn’t any time left to a guy. It is real work to drive a shift over here to, mud all the time and practically no roads. Gee darling it will be so darn wonderful when I am out of these islands and back in your sweet arms and a swell climate.

Honey you was telling me about Pop getting the abstract fixed up on the new place. Sure is a good thing he had it brought up to date and won’t have to pay all that back taxes and so forth. I sure wish that the folks would have there abstract brought up to date. I wrote them another letter yesterday and told them they had better get it done. You know how they are though, they just take everyone to be honest and nothing to be wrong with anything. Maybe they will get it fixed up though. Boy Honey we are sure going to have every thing fixed up straight when we get our home. Gee darling won’t it be wonderful to have a new home and new furniture and move into all brand new. Gee darling we will have so much darn fun picking out all our furniture and everything for our home. It will really be a lot of hard work getting everything done and paid for dear but we will enjoy it all so much and it will be ours in a time and we won’t have to worry about anyone having us move or anything like that Honey it is so darn swell when you own your own place and can fix it up to suit yourself and do whatever you want to with it. Honey we will be so awful darn happy and everything will be so wonderful.

Honey you was telling me about Clara coming back from her vacation and what you asked her and what she told you. Gosh dearest you are so darn sweet. Everyone surely knows how wonderful my little Honey is too dear. I talk about you all the time Honey and when I get some new pictures I start showing them to everyone right away. All my buddies are always asking me about Naomi and if I got any letter from Naomi today or something like that. Gee darling it will be so wonderful when we can meet each others friends. I’ll bet there will never be a prouder husband or wife in this world than we are of each other dear. We love each other so darn much and are so happily married.

Well Honey the old war on this side seems to be moving along pretty good now. They are really going in the Philippines and that is sure going to cut a lot of supplies off from Spain and they are bombing their big cities now too and that really is hard on them. Gosh Honey wouldn’t it be wonderful if this thing would all be over this year. They seem to really be having a time on the other side now but they are getting them in such a small place that they can really do something when they once get started. Gee darling it will sure be a wonderful day when this thing is all over and we can really start our life together. We are both hoping and praying so much for the end of this dear and our return to each other and I know God will answer our prayers and end it all and bring us together as soon as possible.

Darling I sure hope this finds you feeling swell and everything going along all right in every way at home. Please don’t work too hard now dear, take it as easy as possible. I sure wish I was home now to help you do that moving job dear. That is really a job and hard work too. I sure hope you have it all finished now darling and are all straightened up.

Honey you are so darn sweet and I love you so awful, awful darn much and you know I always will dearest. You are so darn sweet and so precious in every way dolly. Honey dear won’t it be heavenly when we can lay our heads in each others lap and hold each other so tight and kiss each other so often. Darling won’t it be heavenly now we will be in our own little home and all to ourselves. Please take wonderful care of my precious parts dearest. They are so wonderful and I love them so darn much. Yours are fine dearest, miss you so awful darn much. You are the sweetest and most adorable little wife in this world dolly. I love you so awful awful much and you know I always will dear.

Well sug I guess I had better close for this time and I’ll write you as soon as possible now dearest. I’ll be looking for your precious letters now dearest. Please be awful, awful careful now dolly and take wonderful care of my sweet little wife. Remember now dear, chin up and always happy. Tell all hello dearest.
