My Dearest Darling Wife,

            Hello sweet little angel, how is my darling little wife. Awful awful sweet I know & fine I hope. You had better be dearest. Gosh Honey I got seven of the most precious today and I was so darn thrilled to get them dearest. They were so darn sweet and so precious dear, just like all your precious letters are darling. I also got nine from the folks and one from Mac and Pig. The latest one was November the second dear and the oldest one was October the twelfth. I sure hope we get some late mail now Honey. I am so anxious to hear from you dear and find out if you are if you are hearing from me. You might be moved to and I should probably be writing to the other address but I won’t know until I get some late mail. Gosh Honey your precious letters mean the world and all to me and they are so darn sweet. They make me so awful, awful happy and make me feel so wonderful all over. Gee darling it puts the moral up to the top when I can get your sweet letters. I hope so much that you are getting my letters all right now dearest. You are so darn sweet dolly and I love you so awful, awful darn much.

            I am feeling fine now dearest and getting along all right in every way now. I have plenty of everything now. Well the sun is out bright today and it sure is swell to see some of this mud drying up. It would sure be swell if it would stay this away a little while now. Sure hope you are having some nice weather at home now dearest. Well Honey I worked from six this morning till noon today and go back to work at midnight tonite. Boy a guy sure don’t have much spare time with hours like that. It sure does wear a fellow out to.

            Well Honey I got a Christmas package from the folks today. It wasn’t in such bad shape but pretty well tore up. It was in one of the of those regular overseas boxes to but I guess they pile so many up together that it is just to much weight. It was a nice box, had candy nuts, fruit cake, gum in it. I sure was glad to get it and sure hope that I get some more of my packages before long now. I also got about four newspapers to dear.

            Well darling twenty seven months ago today was our big day and gee darling what a happy twenty seven months it was been. Our marriage means so awful, awful darn much to us dear and we sure wouldn’t be as happy as we are now if we weren’t married dearest. We were so darn happy this time twenty seven months ago dear, in each others arms and doing things we wanted to. Remember that nite Honey when we went to that tavern and all the fellows came around and we had those tables lined up there in the center of the floor. Boy some of those guys sure were getting high before we left. Wasn’t it wonderful that nite Honey, talking to each other and being in each others arms all nite. Gosh Honey we just can’t imagine how wonderful it will all be when we got back in each others. It will be just like getting married all over again dear. Boy Honey we are sure going to spend most of our time to our selves to. Right in each others arms all the time dear. Won’t it be heavenly when this thing is all over and I am back in our little apartment and start housekeeping. Gee but we will be happy dear. We are really going to celebrate when we get back together to dear and enjoy our selves in any way we want to. Dee darling you are such a wonderful little wife and I am so darn proud of you dear. You have been so swell to me through all this dear and there isn’t a man in this army or any place else that has a wife as wonderful as mine, gee but I love you dearest and you are so darn sweet. I sure hope that there isn’t so many more of our monthly anniversaries go by before we are back in each other arms dearest. I hope and pray so much that we can by our third year anniversary dearest.

            Honey I sure hope that auntie will come and spend some more time with you now. Please try and get her to come back Honey cause she is so darn much help to you and so much company. You are sure right by not wanting her there while you were moving dear cause like you said it will be bad enough without some one asking you what to do next. I sure hope you had Mother help you now darling. I sure will be glad when I hear you are all moved now dear cause I know that is sure going to be a job. Honey are going to have room for all your things. Gosh but I wish that was you and me moving into our home dear. It won’t take us so very long after we get back together until we will be moving into our new home dearest and gee but we will be happy.

            Honey you were saying that Helen Huff had quit. I’ll bet she really does miss you girls Honey and I’ll bet you miss her to. It is sure swell for her to start home like that and darling I will be so darn happy when we get straightened out so you can quit work. Sure do hope you like your new office manager dear.

            Honey you are so darn sweet and I love you so awful, awful much and you know I always will dear. You are so darn sweet and so precious in every way dolly. Honey dear some of my letters had the sweetest kisses on them gee but it is wonderful to see your sweet little lip prints dear. Almost twenty seven months now since we had a kiss dear but I’ll bet we sure haven’t forgot how. It will be almost a continuously kiss when we get back together dear, and I’ll hold you so awful tight all the time Honey Darling [edited for content], miss you so awful darn much. You are the sweetest and most adorable little wife in this world dear and I love you so awful, awful much and you know I always will.

            Well I guess I had better close for this time and I’ll write you as soon as possible now dearest. I’ll be looking for your wonderful letters now dolly. Please be awful, awful careful dear and take wonderful care of my sweet little wife. Remember now darling, chin up and always happy. Tell all hello dear.
