My Dearest Darling Wife,

Hello sweet little angel, how is my darling little wife. Awful awful sweet I know & fine I hope. You had better be dearest.Gosh Honey, I got two of the sweetest letters today and I was so darn happy to get them. They were October the fourteenth and twenty fourth dear. I sure wish that some late mail would come in dear and you would be getting my mail all night. There were quite a few packages in to but I didn’t get any. From what I hear we might not get many of our packages. I hear that they piled a lot of them up in a big warehouse and mashed them up and they can’t read the address on a lot of them. I sure hope that I get all of mine darling. Gosh honey your wonderful letters were so darn sweet today, just like they always are dear. Your precious letters mean the world and all to dearest and they are so darn precious. They make me so awful awful happy dearest and make me feel so wonderful all over. Gosh honey it gives me the grandest felling when I can get your precious letters. I sure hope you are getting me letters all right now dearest. You are so darn sweet dearest and I love you so awful awful darn much.

I am feeling fine now dearest and getting along all right in every way. I have plenty of everything now dearest. Well dolly it is a pretty nice day here today and I sure hope it stays nice now but it will probably be raining before nite. It sure does dry up in a hurry cause the sun is really bright and there seems to always be a pretty good wind. It could be perfectly dry for three weeks and some of these roads would still be muddy. They are just like a hog pen, or real thin mud and almost over the wheels in some places. I worked the midnite to six shift this morning and I go to work at six tonite and work till midnite. A guy sure has irregular hours working like that. You eat at different hours every day and sleep diferent hours. Gosh honey it will be so darn heavenly when I am back in your sweet arms dear and everything will be so wonderful Honey.

Honey you was telling me a little about the house in one of your letters today. I am sure glad you like it dear and you said it was small and all modern. That is really what you and Pop needed dear cause you get a small house and one in good shape and it is sure a lot easier to take care of. After you and  get every thing straightened out it will sure be nice for you darling. That bathroom will sure be a big help to you Honey and be so much better for you. And Honey you said as acre of ground and thirty five fruit trees . Boy you sure ought to have a lot of nice fruit dear. I sure hope you have a nice yard to darling cause I know you really enjoy a nice yard and flowers. Darling I won’t say anything about the price now to any one. I sure don’t think that is a bad price for a nice place like that dear. Honey when you get moved in or get to look it over real good I want you to write me and tell me all about it and the size and all dear. And Honey then you would have Ruth take some pictures of you and the house and that way I could see my adorable little wife and her new home to. And Honey I sure would like to have a picture of your room. Think maybe you could take one or two for me dear by using those big lights to make it come out good. If I had some pictures like that dear I could picture my little Honey so perfect in a lot of my dreams and thoughts about you dear. I could picture you in your sleep dear and where you spend a lot of your time, just like I pictured you in your other room. Won’t it be a heavenly day when you can take me into your room and show me all your things dear just like you did that day before I left. It will be so much more wonderful now darling cause we really belong to each other and have the right to do anything we want to. Gosh Honey I am so darn lonesome for you and want to see you so awful awful much. It sure is a good thing they have where I can’t run off and get to you dear cause I would of sure done it a long, long time ago. Honey you said that Jimmy Fuscombe (?) was living in the house. Who did he marry Honey. Honey you said it was at forty sixth and Georgia. I don’t remember just where that is Honey but maybe you can tell me by telling me where it is from Welborn. I sure wish I could get some late letters from you darling cause you are probably all ready moved and I should be sending you mail to this new address. It surely won’t be many days before I get some late letters. I sure hope you got moved before Thanksgiving like you wanted to dearest. It sure is handy to the bus line to dear and you said the mail came pretty early in the mornings so that is really swell for you to. Gee darling I want you to live as comfortable as possible while I am away and then when I get back I want to have a home for us just like we have always planned dear. I know it is darn hard on you now darling having to depend on everyone else and having to take care of the house all by your self and not getting to go any place and so many other things that you wouldn’t have to be doing if I was there dear. Please don’t ever get discouraged dear and please keep that sweet little chin up cause the worst of our waiting is over and we will be happily reunited before long. Then we will have our real happiness darling and it will be so great a happiness that we won’t ever think about the past, right darling. Gee but you are sweet Honey and I love you so awful darn much and you know I always will angel. You are so darn sweet and so precious in every way dolly. Gosh Honey we are so happily married and our life is so complete with each other. My whole life is centered around you darling and everything I do is with the thought of making you happy dear, the happiest little wife in this world. I know that God hears our prayers amd will answer them and keep us safe and bring us together as soon as possible dearest. [edited for content] miss you so awful darn much. You are the sweetest and most adorable little wife in this world dear and I love you so awful darn much and always will sweetheart.

Well sug I guess I had better close for this time and I’ll write you as soon as possible now dearest. I’ll be looking for your sweet letters now dearest. Please be awful, awful careful and take wonderful care of my sweet little wife dear. Remember now darling chin up and always happy. Tell all hello dear.
