My Dearest Darling Wife,

Hello sweet little angel, how is my darling little wife. Awful awful sweet I know and fine I hope. You had better be dearest. Well dolly no sweet letters yet but I am sure hoping I get some before the day is over. Gee but it seems like our mail is slow about coming in. I am sure hoping that it starts coming in better right away now. Gee darling your wonderful letters mean so awful awful darn much to me and they are so sweet. They make me so happy dearest and make me feel so wonderful all over. Gee dear it gives me the grandest feeling when I can get your precious letters. I sure hope you are getting my mail all right now darling. Gee Honey won’t it be heavenly when we are back in each others arms and won’t have to write letters any more. You are so darn sweet dearest and I love you so awful awful much.

I am feeling fine now darling and getting along all right in every way. I have plenty of everything now darling. Well Honey it is a pretty nice day here today and I sure hope it stays this way for several days now. It sure does dry up fast if it just stops raining for a few days. Sure hope you are having some nice weather now dearest and sure hope it isn’t to cold Honey. Well darling I worked from six this morning until noon today and then go back to work at midnight tonight and work until six in the morning. We work six hours and off twelve and then back on six and off twelve and so on all the time. That way you work a different shift every time you go out. You really put in a lot of hours that way too but they have to do it that way to keep everything going steady. We have sure got a lot of work to do and will have for a long time whether it is here or someplace else. We are out of most of those small islands now and these larger ones really have a lot of up keep to them and these bases.

Well Honey I am sure anxious to hear where the place is that Pop bought and what kind of a place it is. From the way you talked it was right close to Ruths but you never did say exactly where it was. You probably wrote me and I haven’t received the letter yet. I am sure hoping you get moved all right now dearest and I sure hope before it gets too cold to. I am sure glad that Pop got the other place all straightened up dear. It was sure swell that he got to sell it to some one like that and got the cash for it. Gee darling won’t it be wonderful when we can get our own little home and get it all fixed up like we want it and all like that. We are sure going to have a nice start for our home when this is all over dear and it won’t take us many years to get it all paid for. We are both saving every penny we can darling and then when I get back on the job we ought to almost be able to save a hundred dollars a month and maybe a little more, just according to how good wages hold up after this is all over and we have good luck in every way. Gosh darling I am thinking and dreaming all the time about you and me and how wonderful it will be to have our own little home and a nice car and be working together around our little home inside and out and fixing everything up the way we want it and then our little twins, gosh honey won’t we be happy. I know that there never will be a happier married couple than us dear. We were really made for each other Honey, we think alike, we act alike, every thing is the same to us darling. Gee but you are a perfect little wife dearest and I love you so darn much.

You are so darn sweet dearest and I love you so awful, awful darn much and you know I always will angel. You are so darn sweet and so precious in every way dearest. Gee darling it will be so heavenly when I can hold you tight in my arms and kiss you on time right after another, just like we used to do in the driveway before we left each other at night dear. Honey I know God hears our prayers and will answer them and keep us safe and bring us together as soon as possible now. Please take wonderful care of my precious parts Honey, gee but they are so wonderful and I love them so awful much. Yours are fine dearest, miss you so awful darn much. You are the sweetest and most adorable little wife in this world dear and I love you so awful much and always will dear.

Well sug I guess I had better close for this time and I’ll write you as soon as possible now dear. I’ll be looking for your precious letters now dearest. Please be awful, awful careful and take wonderful care of my sweet little wife dear. Remember dear, chin up and always happy. Tell all hello dear.
