My Dearest Darling Wife,
Hello sweet little wife, how is my darling. Awful, awful sweet I know and fine I hope. You had better be dearest. Gosh honey I got four of the sweetest letters yesterday evening after I had written you. Gosh but they were wonderful dear and I was so darn thrilled to get them. I also got four from the folks Honey. Yours was July the eleventh, twelfth, and two the thirteenth so that was pretty darn good Honey. Gosh Honey you said that you hadn’t been very busy at work and you had written me two letters a day for two days. Gee but you are wonderful dearest and they make me so awful, awful happy and make me feel so darn wonderful all over dear. Gosh Honey it is the most wonderful feeling when I can get your sweet letters. It just makes a different person out of me in every way dear and gee so darn happy. You had been getting my mail real good to Honey and it makes me feel so darn swell when I know you are getting my mail. Honey dear you are so darn sweet and I love you so awful, awful much dearest.
I am feeling fine now dearest and getting along all right in every way. I have plenty of everything now dearest. Well Honey the weather here is the same as usual, plenty hot. You said it was plenty hot at home now to honey, sure hope it doesn’t get to hot dearest. Well it is about nine thirty in the morning Honey and I just got up about forty five minutes ago. Cleaned the tent up and sent my laundry out and read my sweet letters over again and now here I am writing to you dolly. We eat at midnite when we come in so I don’t ever get up for breakfast. Get pretty hungry before noon sometimes but it sure is wonderful to get to sleep in the mornings. Gee darling it is so wonderful just to lay there relaxed and think about us and how wonderful it will be when we can spend every nite together and every minute of our time together. We will be so darn happy and gee everything will be so heavenly dearest.
Honey dear you was saying that Auntie was coming that week that you wrote me. Gosh Honey I sure hope she gets there all right and stays a lot time with you and Pop. She will be so darn much company for you dear and sure a lot of help to you to. I sure think a lot of her dear. She was always so darn swell to me and used to always talk and talk to me about different things. Sure hope she can stay a long time with you now dear cause the time will go so darn much faster for you and you will have someone at home when you get there at nite and have your dinner ready for you. It will sure be a lot nicer for you dearest. Be sure and tell Auntie hello for me dear.
Honey you was saying you had decided to get a Chevrolet and I am sure glad you did because that is my favorite dear. Sure hope you can get a forty one or forty two model honey cause they are sure nice looking and good cars to. I sure hope you are able to get ahold of one now dear cause it will be so darn much nicer for you and now that Auntie is there you could take her around and she wouldn’t hope to be around home all the time. You said you could get two riders and that way you could get an A, B and C gas book. That would sure be swell Honey. You said they had put a ceiling on all used cars now to so they might not be quite so high honey. You just keep looking around and watching the papers Honey and you will run across one before long I hope. Honey dear you be sure and have it ensured now just as soon as you get it. Said you talked to Mother the morning you wrote me dear and her and Dad had talked it over about you getting a car and Dad was in favor of you getting one to. Gee Honey that’s just the way Dad is, he doesn’t mean half what he says or the way he says it. I know he is really hard to understand sometimes dear but don’t pay any attention to those times Honey. Anyway dear we are doing what ever we want to and whenever we want to. We belong to each other now and have our own lives to live Honey and it is no ones business what we do. It is a good idea to consult our folks on some things honey but we have our own ideas to and we are going to do whatever you and I decide dearest. Sure hope you can get our car now dear and can get a good one. It will be so swell for you now Honey and then we will have it as soon as I get home.
You said you and Helen went downtown one nite and get Vera’s wedding present Honey. I’ll bet she was sure tickled with it Honey and I know that was really a beautiful spread. Sure hope you had a nice nite for the shower Honey and I know you all really had a swell time if it was a nice nite. Gosh honey it will be so darn swell when I am back in your sweet arms and can meet all your friends and we can go out with them.
Honey dear you said you had taken some more pictures for me and was getting them developed. Gee but I hope they turn out swell dear. And Honey remember you promised me another big picture to, gee what a wonderful birthday present that would be dear. There you are honey a swell picture for my birthday. If you can get around to it dear please send me a big one now. I am sure glad you liked the pictures I sent you dear and I sure hope that enlargement turned out swell. That’s the reason I sent the negative Honey cause I thought it was a pretty good picture and I figured you would want to get it enlarged. I am sure looking for those swell pictures now dear so don’t forget me, you sweet little dickens.
Honey dear I love you so awful, awful much and you know I always will dearest. You are so darn sweet and so wonderful in every way dearest. Gee darling I am so darn lonesome for you and want to see you so darn bad. Gee but it will be wonderful when I can throw my arm around you and hug and kiss you all I want to dearest. Honey de3ar you are the sweetest and most adorable little wife in this world and gee but I am proud of you dearest. Honey dear I know God hears our prayers and will bring us together as soon as possible. You are so darn sweet dear and I love you so awful, awful much and you know I always will dearest.
Well sugar I guess I had better close for this time and I’ll write you as soon as possible now dear. I’ll be looking for your sweet letters now dearest. Please be awful, awful careful now dearest and take good care of my sweet little wife. Remember now dear, chin up and always happy. Tell all hello dearest.
