Dear Gram,

Tonight believe it or not I received my final letter, and guess who from? It was Velma, so maybe tomorrow I will get a few letters from you and dad. The date on her letter was Nov. 1. The doctor looked at my foot again today and he said that I would have to soak my foot in hot water twice a day to get the swelling down and get circulation started. My other wound is healed and doesn’t bother me. Gee, I hope I receive mail regularly now as it’s been since Oct. 20 that I got my last letter from you. Please write soon.
