Dear Gram,

I received your letter dated Sept, 22. which also had a letter from Rita enclosed. I also got a letter from Fred today. It looks like Odie has a head start on me in school, don’t it? Well, maybe it won’t be to long before I can return and start school again. I get a letter from Velma M. very often, do you ever write Mrs M.? Well Gran I will try and write a letter to you tomorrow or next day. Love as ever Mike XX
