Dear Folks,

I am sorry to say that I can’t tell you where I am except that I am in England. The country side is very beautiful and picturesque. It would be a wonderful trip to take in the peace time as their customs differ a great deal from ours. Their worst word in the English language is bloody. The mail hasn’t caught up with me yet but maybe in the next few days I will get some. The climate we have is just like the Seattle weather. The days we have here are very long. We only have 4 hours of darkness here and it sure seems strange after having so many hours of darkness in the states. Please write soon and often. The only difference in my address is Co. P Infantry APO15310 % Postmaster N.Y. N.Y.

                                                                                                Love

                                                                                                   Mike
