Hi Ollie,

Boy, I sure was glad to hear from you.  Thanks for sending us your picture and frances, we were sure glad to receive them.  Shirley and Lois told me to tell you thanks for the frames you sent them.

We’re all in good health including the two kids, Carol and Carl.  I don’t know if you know Carl.  He was two years old in July.

Bob Landikill’s in the Air Force and is in college in Michigan.  O’Shea is in Kansas in the cavalry.  Most of the guys are still around in the neighborhood.

I sure do miss all those swell camping trips and wiener roasts you used to take us on. [I] can hardly wait till the wars over and you’re back home so we can go on a nice long trip.

I wish you loads of love, and may you have a very nice Thanksgiving.

                                                            As ever,

                                                                Gil

P.S. [I] will write again soon, and don’t eat too much turkey that you get sick.
