Dear Ollie:

This is a hard letter to write and we don’t know how to start. We are having a special meeting to close the business of the Parents Club. The last meeting we had was in March so there was quite a discussion. It seems the money you left Mr. O. caused quite a commotion. Your mother claimed that Mr. O. had changed the figure on the envelope and Mr. O. said that it was $6.00, and your mother said that there was $6.40. The club heard it because it was all that was said during the club meeting.

Then the next meeting Mr. O. said he couldn’t come any more because he felt as though he couldn’t be trusted.

We understand Ollie that your mother is quite old and we don’t want any hard feelings with her nor with you because you know what you mean to us all. I suppose your mother has written and told you all about it I don’t know if she explained it the way we tell you.

We decided to put all the money in the bank. Mrs. B. turned over the bank book with $25.00 on the account, we also have $15.56 left making a total of $40.56. We are leaving it in your name only Mrs. B. wants her name taken off. We have thought that if you want to put some other name on it is your privilege.

                                                                        Your friends.
