# 259

Hello Loving Sweetheart:

I got to bed tonight by 8:15 but I had some sewing to do on my undies and that’s why I haven’t been able to start earlier in the evening. I stopped at your fathers on my way home from work to find out the result of that test your Dad had a few days ago. It was perfect. There is absolutely nothing wrong with his heart and for that reason no further efforts on the doctor’s part can be made. However your Dad said he’s got some other doctor in mind who may do “better” for him. When I find out what it’s all about, I’ll tell you. They were both feeling fine. Even Pinky was her lovey, dovey self as usual. I said to her tonight, “Do you want Bill to come home real quickly?” And she looked toward the door- thinking you’re coming. Your Mom handed me, “something.”

When I had finished supper, I took a bath and read the paper. My back had been aching me so tonight it’s an effort for me to sit up comfortably.

I don’t know how much I’ll be able to write but I’ll keep up as long as I’m able to.  I sure wish you were here to give me one of your good massages. You were my best soother and healer. Anytime I didn’t feel good you were able to heal me in no time. Gosh. Honey these months have gone and seemed to me like years. How I want you near me- just to know you’re within talking range, I get goose flesh just thinking about it. I love you, Sweet, so very, very much.

Honey, I just can’t do anymore tonight. I’ve got to lie flat on my back. I just finished a cup of hot tea and I’ll be ok tomorrow.

Nightie Night, Sweet.

Good luck Honey

Love,

Emily
